Who fills the void for Robert Lewandowski?

[15.02.] Despite an appeal by BVB for his three-match ban, Robert Lewandowski will not be available for selection for Saturday´s home game against Eintracht Frankfurt (KO: 1830 CET). Julian Schieber is a likely candidate to fill the void.
Schieber, who was in the starting line-up in the 5-0 win over Gladbach and the 1-0 win over Manchester City (where he also scored the winning goal), has impressed with committed and good performances in training. Playing Marco Reuse as a lone striker is another option for Jürgen Klopp. "I actually have a few options in mind, but will of course not reveal them," said the BVB coach in the build-up to Saturday´s game. "We will find a solution and the player who plays has our complete confidence."
The same could of course also be said about Ilkay Gündogan, but the midfielder is still doubtful following a toe and thigh injury as well as a cold. Klopp said, "Iliie is not a sure thing, we hope time is on our side."
Due to the selection worries in midfield and in attack it´s unlikely that there will be any other change to the team. Neven Subotic has returned to full training a week ago, "but he missed six weeks, and despite the fast-paced business we are in we will have to force ourselves to be patient," said the coach, adding: "The next training week will do him good." A hint for Saturday...?

#521 TranceBOY, pai cu Lewandowski traba sta mai rau. Watzke a confirmat ca negocieri cu Bayern nu-s. Daca si o sa fie, o sa fie swap deal cu Gomez(buna varianta BTW. El e super finisher, ceea ce la Borussia trebuie si oameni de pase sunt destui). Faza cu Kroos asta e tema aparte, cred ca o fi ceva in locul lui Perisic. Tot buna chestie.

In fine, eu m-am resemnat cu plecarea lui Robert, desi as vrea mult de tot ca el sa ramina.

Si cel mai brutal scenariu. Din nou Watzke. El a zis ca odata ce negocieri nu-s si el nu vrea sa prelungeasca contractul, atunci iese ca ori il vind la vara, ori joaca pina la fine de contract si pleaca undeva (unde? nu se stie, dar nu ramine, asta e clar). Faza e ca ar fi destul de urit din partea lui sa plece in asa mod. Dar se pare ca chestiile merg anume in aceasta directie.

The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) has confirmed a three-match suspension for serious foul play for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski following a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday. The DFB court upheld a ruling made on 12 February by the DFB´s disciplinary body.

On 9 February 2013, Lewandowski was shown a 31st-minute red card by referee Manuel Gräfe (Berlin) in the Bundesliga game against Hamburger SV. Borussia Dortmund have a week to appeal the ruling of the sports court before the DFB´s federal court. The club has not decided yet whether to appeal.

BVB chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke was disappointed by the ruling: "We believe that the findings of today´s evidentiary hearing should have led to a different result. But apparently they were only inadequately taken into consideration."

Kiessling on the possibility of being a succesor for Robert:
Stefan Kiessling, who is the leading Bundesliga goalgetter at the moment alongside Bayern's Mario MandzuLkic, was named as possible Lewandowski successor, but claims he knows nothing. He told derwesten.de: "I know nothing. I am surprised myself. That's not an issue for me. If my name gets dropped in such a context that's an honour to me, but I don't want it to cause any disturbance in my team." Whether that statement will be enough to take him off the speculation list, is doubtful. We will keep you posted on further developments.

Dortmund vs Chelsea - fans authority
Elsewhere in Ruhr Nachrichten, Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard compares Dortmund and Chelsea fans: "I had a lot of canned ideas of the life of Borussia supporters. Albeit I was not braced for the way fans are the number one at BVB. At Chelsea, the fans are only a side aspect. Their opinion does not count a lot. They could argue over the sacking of Robert di Matteo or the ticket prices as much as they want. This would not change the club's opinion. Looking at the price of a ticket alone, it becomes clear which advantage Borussia fans have over those from West-London." You can read the whole article here.

Johnson then explains ticket prices at Chelsea, compares them to Dortmund, gives us the "public transport" argument and in a remarkable twist Dortmund marketing director Carsten Cramer again explains how the brand Borussia Dortmund works. "It is important football is affordable for everyone and does not rule anyone. We need to be very careful with the prices." The club wanted to earn money but it would not make any sense to raise the bar from €10 to €20 for a standing ticket. "We would not generate enough income to buy expensive players. We have other options that don't include fans paying." Dortmund wants to use the fans to bring in sponsors. The more people are part of the club, the more the value of the brand increases. "The picture of the Gelbe Wand goes around the world. We could turn the terraces into 12.500 seats to generate more money, but we'd bitterly regret the absence of Dortmund's assets." Cramer glorifies deciding against increasing beer prices from €3.70 to €3.80 and says it is all for the good of the fans and vows: "We would not be as successful in Dortmund if we'd change our ticket policy. We will never reach the English price level." And "Aki" Watzke says 100 to 150 fans from England fly in every match day: "They fly in with Easyjet or Ryanair. They pay €11 for a ticket, €90 for the flight and spend €20 on beer. You don't get that in Premier League". When was the last time anyone paid €11 for a ticket? It is all about the money these days...

Cum v-a putea să se încadreze cu Gotze-Reus și Kuba, la care gîndirea pe teren e fulgerătoare ? Viteză mică în comparație cu toți coechipierii. Deci v-om avea un stîlp, care v-a juca aparte de toată echipa, adică un alt Torres. Fanii bavarezi și pînă acum îi mulțumesc pentru super-realizarea momentelor în finala CL.
Concluzie : Nu nah :crazy:
