Сегодня "Арсенал" сообщил о том, что возобновил свои отношения с Citroеn в качестве официального автомобильного партнера клуба, с компанией было подписано трехлетнее соглашение.

В соответствии с новым контрактом, "Арсенал" значительно расширил права Citroen, он будет иметь возможность для продвижения своей продукции за пределами Великобритании: по всей Европе и Китаю. Китай является ключевым рынком роста для Citroen, где бренд будет стремиться наращивать импульс после недавнего успешного турне по Азии.

Мы также продолжаем работать в тесном сотрудничестве по интеграции "Арсенала" в своей маркетинговой, дилерской, внутренней и PR-деятельности, Citroen будет предоставлять полный парк транспортных средств для сотрудников клуба.

Винай Венкатешам, руководитель Global Partnerships в "Арсенале" прокомментировал: "Мы рады объявить, о том, что обновляем наши успешные отношения с Citroеn. Учитывая их прочность, вполне естественно, что обе стороны хотели продлить и расширить сотрудничество в дальнейшем, и мы рассчитываем на развитие ряда совместных проектов для Европы и Китая".

Французский автомобильный концерн является  активным партнером клуба с 2008 года и активно поддерживает благотворительные инициативы "Арсенала" последних лет, объединив усилия со всемирно известным художником Джеральдом Скарфом и тремя игроками основной команды в 2009 году для разработки " Идеальной машины фанатов "Арсенала". Citroеn C4, в конечном счете, была разыграна для помощи детям, страдающих раком.

В начале этого года игроки первой команды "Арсенала": Войцех Щесны и Лоран Косьелны присоединились к  художнику Ян Куку, чтобы  разрабатотать макет в натуральную величину автомобиля Citroеn C4 с использованием дистанционного управления.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has called upon Uefa to provide clarity over their touchline ban rules.

The Arsenal chief was forced to watch from the stands on Wednesday as the Gunners battled Udinese in the UEFA Champions League play-offs.

The Frenchman was absent from the dugout due to his outburst at the match officials following a clash with Barcelona last season.

Wenger passed a number of messages to assistant Pat Rice throughout the first half before being told this was breach of his ban at half time.

"It was difficult because you didn't really know what the rules were," he told Arsenal's official website.

"They (Uefa) told us first we could communicate through my assistant and at half-time it was not like that. It was a bit confusing.

"It is a real concern because up to what level can you stop someone doing their job?

"I did not feel I had done a lot. We tried to respect the rules as they are set by Uefa but, of course, it is very difficult to see how you can stop someone having an influence.

"What is true is that you can't go to the dressing rooms but I did not do that."

Arsenal defender Armand Traoré will tie-up a loan move to QPR before the end of the week, Gooner Talk understands.

The Senegalese international has only just recovered from a groin injury sustained after playing just 9 minutes of Arsenal Reserves’ win over Manchester United on Monday.

Officials from the West London side made enquiries about the availability of Traore over a week ago, but were told that only a loan move would be viable at the current time.

Samir Nasri is expected to join Manchester City in the next 24 hours, and while the Frenchman triples his salary by moving up North, reports in France today have claimed that he has always seen Arsenal as a springboard to a bigger European side.

The former Marseille midfielder, who has less than year left on his existing deal, rejected Arsenal’s £90,000-a-week contract offer several weeks ago, which immediately alerted Premier League rivals City – who are currently on the verge of finalising a £22million transfer for the 24-year-old.

According to respected French news outlet Le Parisien, Nasri has always regarded Arsenal as a ‘springboard to a bigger club’ since arriving in North London three years ago. The newspaper reports that Nasri wanted to ‘make a name for himself on the continental stage’ and then ‘leave quickly’.

However, Nasri met up with QPR star and close friend Adel Taarabt last week, where he told the Moroccan starlet that Manchester City weren’t his ‘first choice’ and he has always ’dreamed’ of a move to ‘Barcelona, Manchester United or Real Madrid’. The report goes on to say that City’s £200,000-a-week contract offer was too good to refuse for Nasri, who believes the Sky Blues offer a ‘better’ chance of winning silverware than Arsenal.

Talks between City and Arsenal are still continuing, although various journalists have suggested that the transfer will be done and dusted before Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday.

Ryo says getting his first taste of professional football at Feyenoord last season was vital for his development after coming straight from Japanese High School.


The teenage winger signed a long-term contract with Arsenal in January and immediately joined the Dutch giants on loan in order to help his adjustment to European football while awaiting the work permit he required to play in England.


After scoring on his first appearance at De Kuip, Feyenoord’s home ground, Ryo shone in the Eredivise and became an instant fans’ favourite with his direct nature and dazzling skill.


“It was my first year as a professional and, even though it was only half of a season, it was a great experience,” he told Arsenal.com.


“I was lucky to be there and play, I was surrounded by both nice fans and staff and I am grateful to all of them.


“When I was loaned out to Feyenoord, I felt some kind of connection."

Such was Ryo’s impact during his time in Holland, the 18-year-old was dubbed ‘Ryodinho’ by the Dutch media. But the teenager admits he has some way to go before he can be compared to the two-time World Player of the Year.


“Yes, I believe they compare me to Ronaldinho,” he said. “But I can’t hold a candle to him.


“There needs to be a lot of hard work in order to catch up with and overtake him!”
