Eboue was a cult hero at the Emirates during his time as an Arsenal player but Arsene Wenger is keen on reinvigorating his squad this summer and the Ivorian is a casualty.
The 28-year-old spent six years in north London but never managed to hold down a regular first team place.
His career at Arsenal reached its nadir in 2008 when he was booed by sections of the home support during a match against Wigan.
Wenger later admitted Eboue's poor performance and subsequent barracking from the stands forced him to substitute the hapless star, having brought him on as a sub earlier in the game.
Eboue managed to win the fans over but he is now heading to Turkey after Galatasaray had a bid accepted.

Russian attacker Arshavin displayed moments of sheer class and periods of sulky indifference last season and it was rumoureed that he would be on his bike this summer with former outfit Zenit said to be leading the chase. But it seems he is staying in north London.

But answering questions on his own website, AA23 has admitted he is still up for chasing silverware at the Emirates. Bizarrely, he has also admitted to being spiteful.

He was asked: "I wanted to ask you whether it is true that you want to leave Arsenal? And is it true that you are spiteful? And answered: "I am an Arsenal player. And I still want to win trophies with this club. Spiteful? I can be spiteful sometimes."

The Mail this morning says AW has been denied by FIFA the chance to use goal-line technology in this weekend’s Emirates Cup. The paper says he is a big fan of putting technology to the test but the move has been blocked.

He said: "You want it so you have a better chance to make the right decisions. You know it could be a help for the referees. The more help they get, the more decisions they get right. If out of 100 decisions they get 95 right instead of 85, you have to use technology. And I would like to use it for more than goal-line decisions, but it’s a first step.

Former Arsenal ace Thierry Henry has ruled out any chance of returning to Europe at present, even on a short-term loan.

The striker currently plies his trade with MLS outfit New York Red Bulls after signing from Barcelona last year.

Earlier this year, Henry returned to the Gunners to use their training facilities at London Colney in a bid to gain full fitness ahead of the new American season.
