Nicklas Bendtner's agent and father has confirmed the Denmark international will seek a transfer from Arsenal in the off-season.

Bendtner struggled for first-team action under Arsene Wenger this season, with the 23-year-old mostly deployed off the bench as an impact player in the English Premier League.

The bit-part role has not sat well with Bendtner, who is known for his extreme self-confidence, and the forward has seemingly run out of patience at the Emirates.

Following the Gunners' season-ending 2-2 draw with Fulham on Sunday, Bendtner's agent and father has declared his son ready to seek new opportunities elsewhere.

"Nicklas is 100 percent open now to a change of clubs," Thomas Bendtner told the Daily Mirror.

"He has made his decision and he has told it to Arsenal. Nicklas needs to be playing from the start so, sadly, he must leave."

"He wanted to finish the season first, so no-one could say he didn't fight for a first-team place right until the end."

"There is real interest from both English and German clubs, and Bayern Munich were after him, earlier. It's very exciting."

Bendtner has been linked to a move to Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund, with Wenger reportedly keen to use the Dane as a makeweight in a deal that would see German starlet Mario Goetze move to north London.

The Dane's departure could be one of many at the Emirates this off-season, with Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy stalling contract discussions and Andrei Arshavin, Tomas Rosicky and Carlos Vela all reportedly weighing up their options following Arsenal's disappointing campaign.

Arsenal captain and talisman Cesc Fabregas, a perennial target of boyhood club Barcelona, is also expected to come under renewed transfer speculation.

Argentinean midfielder, Ricardo 'Ricky' Alvarez has reportedly agreed a pre-contract deal with Arsenal. The Metro have published an article saying that 'the South America media are claiming a deal' and that Alvarez will move to the Emirates this summer on a free transfer.

The 23 year old holds an Italian passport and therefore wouldn't require a work permit to play in the UK. Likened to other Argentina flair players, Pablo Aimar and Juan Román Riquelme, the attacking midfield player will add another element to the already formidable Arsenal midfield.

Scot reveals that if the right money comes in for any of his players and it makes good sense to the club then he is willing to negotiate a transfer with any of his players.

Bolton boss Owen Coyle has suggested that he is willing to negotiate a transfer for England international Gary Cahill who has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks.

Cahill has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer who are dire need of a central defender.

It had been expected that Coyle would fight hard to keep his star defender but the Scot has suggested that he is willing to negotiate his transfer provided the club receives a significant fee.

When questioned on the hard task of keeping Cahill this summer he told Sky Sports: “It’s not a task as such because if somebody comes in and its good business for the football club then it’s something we have to look at.”

Coyle revealed that it would not be fair to keep a player against his will at a club and as long as he has replacements lined up then any player can be free to leave for the right money.

He added: “Wherever I’ve been I’ve never worried about that because if somebody comes in and it’s the right fee or its good business. Ultimately you have to be fair with the player as well.

“What I do know if that is the case then we have to make sure that we’ve got targets lined up that can come in, replace whoever it is and look to take the club on and improve it.”
