Футбольный клуб "Арсенал", по информации осведомленных источников, взял на испытательный срок молодого защитника немецкой "Герты" Лиандера Зименна. Немецкий центральный полузащитник пробыл неделю в тренировочном центре Северного Лондона.

Зименн является выпускником хорошо зарекомендовавшей себя академии "Герты" и тренировался после длительного периода нахождения в немецкой скаутской системе. "Арсенал" уже сделал шаги на немецком трансферном рынке, подписав Сержа Гнабри из "Штутгарта" в июле.

У 15-летнего юноши рост составляет 178 см, так же он обладает мощной комплекцией. В Лондоне он будет тренироваться неделю, с целью произвести впечатление на Лиама Брэди, и "Арсенал" надеется выиграть борьбу за подписание этого игрока в следующем сезоне.

Так же израильский полузащитник Омри Альтман был отправлен домой из тренировочного лагеря "Арсенала". Средства массовой информации на его родине опровергли информацию о том, что в ноябре он приехал в Лондон для подписания контракта, после своего визита в Ливерпуль. Manager Arsène Wenger has criticised Everton manager David Moyes' comments on Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.

Arsenal beat Everton 2-1 on Tuesday night, and Moyes claimed in his post-match interview that Fabregas deserved to be sent off for his comments towards the match officials.

Everton opened the scoring on the night with an offside goal, something that both clubs agree on, and a mistake which upset Fabregas.

Wenger said: "I believe that it is wrong for Moyes to come out on what he pretends to have heard.

"I think there is a rule in our job to never come out with what is said in the heat of the moment.

"But for me what is the most important is the player behaves well.

"For example, some people reproach him for not exchanging shirts with a player after the game - but I hope he will not exchange shirts with players who try to kick him for 90 minutes and them come to say 'please can I get your shirt?'

"I think that is a normal and natural reaction.

"Overall this guy is an example on the football pitch and shows you how to play football."

Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby is finally back and after recovering from yet another injury, he is ready to play his part as the Gunners enter the last months of the season.

Speaking to the Official Matchday Programme, the Frenchman explained how returning against Huddersfield in the F.A. Cup was very helpful and in fact he went on to be one of the best players for Arsenal, on Tuesday, in the Premier League game won against Everton at the Emirates. And with Alex Song set to miss the away game against Newcastle, Diaby could start as a regular on Saturday.

On spending time on the sidelines, the 24-year old admitted it was a frustrating period as his previous comeback to football was cut short by yet another injury – a calf strain – sustained against Wigan Athletic in December.

Ahead of this month’s League Cup Final at Wembley against Birmingham City, the midfielder explained how it is very important for the Gunners to lift the trophy as it would be an important achievement for the players, fans and the Club as he added how this season could indeed be the one for Arsenal.

On his comeback and Arsenal’s silverware mission, Diaby said:

I feel good. Getting those minutes on Sunday was very helpful – now I just need to get my sharpness back, which will come with time.

It’s been a frustrating period, of course. When I came back last time I had a calf problem – it was probably caused by overcompensating on my left side to protect my right calf. I played 20 minutes against Wigan and it went, so I had plenty of treatment and have managed to return in quite good time.

We’re really excited to go back to Wembley and are determined to win the final. It will give us a lot of appetite for the rest of the season, too. We deserve to go there and now we want to lift the trophy for our fans, for the Club as a whole and for ourselves.

I think that, every year, you learn from things that happened in the previous season. Each of us understands that if we want to progress and win trophies we have to work hard together all over the pitch – both when we attack and when we defend. It’s the only way, and that’s how we are playing at the moment.

We have many matches left and plenty in front of our home fans – so let’s take our chance, play our game well and keep winning. We’ve a good chance to make everyone happy this season.
