The player controls Ezio, who becomes an Assassin after his father and brothers are murdered by a traitor to the Auditore family. Assassin's Creed II was met with widespread acclaim, garnering aggregated scores of 91% for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and 86% for PC, from review aggregator Metacritic. The game was praised for its stronger emphasis on open-world exploration and interaction, non-linear gameplay and greater mission variety compared to the first Assassin's Creed. The game was also credited with improved non-player character AI and combat mechanics, and its new economic system allowing players to purchase accessories, armor and improved weapons through the course of the game.

The game's levels are often compared to Steven Spielberg's 1998 film Saving Private Ryan; many of the levels are direct quotations of the scenery (or even complete sequences as in the Omaha Beach mission) in the film. This level was re-created in Medal of Honor: Frontline for consoles. Other elements in the game are also comparable to the film, like the "Sniper Town" level and the "Guarding of the Bridge" level where the final battle sequence of the movie is very similar in action and visuals to the game.

nice, dar nu-s cam jocurile cele mai populare toate, is cam din 2009-2010 acestea , dar sunt altele si din an mai vechi dar populare ex. prince of persia, devil may cry,Counter Strike (unul din cele mai populare jocuri din lume) halo (the same) mai mult, imi pare cai un top al tau de popularitate.
