Тем не менее Робину все же пришлось поехать в лагерь национальной команды. В среду вечером "канонир" целиком отыграл второй тайм товарищеского матча сборной Голландии против Турции. Никакого рецидива не случилось, и Ван Перси рад, что получил столь необходимую практику.

"Я рад, что снова в сборной. Мой последний матч здесь был поражением от Испании в финале Чемпионата Мира. Я едва поправился после длительного лечения, но сегодня мне было неважно, на какой позиции играть. Я просто хотел играть снова".

"Для меня очень важно максимально быстро набрать хорошую форму. Я благодарен тренеру, что он дал мне шанс сыграть. На самом деле подобные матч - это по-прежнему слишком рано для меня. В течение последних недель я был на связи с Бертом Ван Марвейком, и мы решили, что я проведу на поле один тайм", - сообщил Ван Перси в интервью голландскому телевидению.

Neven Subotic's agent is playing down speculation linking the Borussia Dortmund defender with a January move to Chelsea or Arsenal.
Reports have suggested the Blues have targeted a deal for the Serbia international centre-back to help solve their defensive problems with John Terry and Alex both currently sidelined through injury.

Alex is facing two months out as he requires a knee operation, while tests are ongoing to find the full extent of Terry's nerve problem in his leg.

Arsenal are also believed to have been monitoring the highly-rated player and a swoop when the transfer window reopens in the new year had been mooted as doubts continue over the long-term fitness of Thomas Vermaelen.

Subotic's form has helped Dortmund to the top of the Bundesliga this season but his agent, Steve Kelly, insists a deal to take him away from Germany is not on the cards for January.

"I am aware of the latest rumours linking Neven with a move to England, but I can categorically rule out Neven leaving Dortmund in January," Kelly told skysports.com.

"Neven is happy at Dortmund and he is focused on helping them to stay at the top of the Bundesliga."

Jack Wilshere has a fitness test on Friday that will determine his involvement in the North London derby at the weekend.

The Arsenal midfielder missed England’s 2-1 defeat to France on Wednesday night because of a back problem and has not yet returned to full training. Medical staff at Arsenal will check Wilshere, along with Andrey Arshavin and Tomas Rosicky, in the next 24 hours. The latter pair are expected to be fit after international duty but, when Arsène Wenger spoke to TV Online on Thursday lunchtime, they had not yet returned to the Training Ground.

Robin van Persie’s recovery from an ankle problem was helped by 45 minutes for Holland and the manager is predicting no further bad news as the players come back from their countries.

However Manuel Almunia (elbow), Thomas Vermaelen (Achilles) and Abou Diaby (ankle) are still out. The Spanish keeper is closest to a return. He is expected to be fully fit next week.

“We have players coming back from the internationals,” said Wenger. “Some played shorter and some more longer. We have to assess all that tomorrow morning.

“Jack has a test. He has a little strain of a little muscle in the back and is not in full training at the moment. We will know more on Friday about whether he is available for Saturday.

“We have to assess Arshavin, who has still to come back. Rosicky is coming in later too. He had a tight hamstring but should be OK.

“Van Persie had 45 minutes, which was agreed. He needed that. We had someone at the game and he looked quite sharp.”

Wenger was asked which of the three remaining injured players would be back first.

“Almunia,” he answered. “He is back in full training. He needs a few more days because he has been out for a long time. But he should be available for next week.”
