Arsenal youngsters Jack Wilshere and Kieran Gibbs join Fulham's Bobby Zamora in earning their first England call-up.



The trio will represent the dawn of a new England era next week after being named in Fabio Capello's squad to face Hungary at Wembley on Wednesday.

Only 10 of the World Cup squad have made it into this friendly line-up, with goalkeepers Robert Green and David James not included and new Liverpool signing Joe Cole also left out.


Zamora heads a revamped forward line, which also includes West Ham United's Carlton Cole and Sunderland's Darren Bent in addition to Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

There are returning faces too, in Manchester City's Adam Johnson and Theo Walcott of Arsenal, who were both cut from Capello's provisional squad prior to the World Cup.

Manchester United's Wes Brown and Phil Jagielka of Everton come in to bolster the defensive ranks.

Born on New Year's Day 1992, Wilshere will become the 10th youngest England international of all-time if he plays some part against the once-mighty Magyars.

Wilshere has already set a few notable landmarks in his fledgling career, including becoming Arsenal's youngest league debutant two seasons ago and being the fifth 16-year-old to feature in the Champions League.

With five under-21 caps to his name, he has already made a favourable impression on Stuart Pearce and his half-season on loan at Bolton Wanderers last term did not go unnoticed by Capello.

Fabianski .5- If Fabianski was a bank, he would be closed down, the savings he’s offering are terrible.If his performance today doesn’t get Arsene a knock on the head to sign a new goalkeeper, I don’t know what will. His decision making and execution were both dreadful in this match, and I can’t see him starting against Liverpool.

Sagna 5- Didn’t do much today Sagna, went up a few times and that was it.

Vermaelen 5- Wasn’t at his usually self today, did not defend good at all and wasn’t a threat going forward.

Koscielny 4- Might have scored an own goal today, but one thing was for sure, his defending wasn’t anywhere near his regular self.

Clichy 6- Could have scored at the beginning of the second half but overall he was okay.

Frimpong 6- Didn’t do much today but he was solid in midfield.

Rosicky 6.5- Not his best performance but made a couple of tidy passes.

Nasri 7.5- Scored again and was brilliant on the ball.

Wilshere 6.5- Not his best performance but managed to make a couple of good passes.

Walcott 4- Didn’t touch the ball except for one shot that went blazing over.

Chamakh 7.5- Scored a great header in the first half, he is definitely something we needed last season.

Szczesny 6.5- Made a great double save but couldn’t be made to take the blame for the 2 goals.

Gibbs 7- Scored a beautiful goal and played well in the midfield.

Nordtveit 6- Didn’t do anything wrong and played okay.

Eboue 7.5- Great 2 goals today showing people not to forget about Emmanuel.

Lansbury 3- Made a horrible mistake in the 90th minute stopping the ball for a Legia player to make it 5-6.

Vela 6.5- Didn’t do much but almost scored from a great long range shot.

JET 7- Scored a wonderful goal to seal the game.
