Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will almost certainly not be joining AC Milan this summer, the player's agent and Milan have confirmed.

The Italian giants have recently been linked with a move for the former Inter Milan and Juventus star, who made a £40million move from Inter to Barca last summer.

The 28-year-old had a disappointing finish to the season and Barca have since signed David Villa from Valencia, sparking speculation Ibrahimovic could be on his way out of the Nou Camp.

Milan are in need of a high-profile striker and almost landed the Sweden international after Juve were demoted to Serie B in 2006.

But his agent, Mino Raiola, insists he is happy to see out his contract with Barca and Milan's vice president Adriano Galliani admits they must sell before they can buy.

"He will not move from Barcelona because he and his family are fine there," Raiola told corrieredellosport.it.

"And according to me, Ibrahimovic is worth 1billion euros anyway.

"Milan have already lost the chance to buy him and I don't think they plan to buy him from Barcelona, just as Zlatan has no plan to go to Milan.

"Ibra will leave Barcelona when he wants. He has a four-year contract and he will not move, even if Villa has arrived."

Milan have just appointed Massimiliano Allegri as their new coach and although Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano is a transfer target, Allegri must sell first if he wishes to buy any players this summer.

"No new purchase will be made by AC Milan before we sell some players," Galliani told Sky Italia.

"If a big player leaves, another big player can arrive.

"Ronaldinho won't leave because he is a major player - as is Pato.

"As for Luis Fabiano, we should let him calm down after having an excellent World Cup. At the moment there is no deal for him.

"Ibrahimovic is a great player but first we need to sell someone."
