Rio to start against Tigers

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Rio Ferdinand will return from injury against Hull City at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The defender has not played since the Liverpool defeat in November due to a persistent calf problem.

The Red Devils have suffered with injury at the back with Ferdinand being joined on the treatment table by Nemanja Vidic, John O'Shea and Jonny Evans at various stages over the past two months.

The England international should bring an air of calm to a side that has uncharacteristically lost four of their past nine games in all competitions.

"Rio has been training very well in the last few weeks. He will

play tomorrow," Ferguson revealed.

Manchester United’s Zoran Tosic To Sign Loan Deal With Koln

With the World Cup already at the forefront of his thoughts, Tosic is close to completing a move to the Bundesliga, where he will sharpen up his game...

Koln are set to try to alleviate their offensive headaches by snapping up Manchester United youngster Zoran Tosic on a loan basis, according to Serbian newspaper Jurnal Sportski, which suggests that a deal until the conclusion of the season will be brokered in the near future.

Having found first team opportunities rare at Old Trafford, the 22-year-old former Partizan player, who is eager to gain regular first team football in order to go to the World Cup in good shape, will likely see much more of the pitch should he move to the Bundesliga. Koln have been starved of attacking flair this season, scoring only 12 league goals, and could use the diminutive international to unpick defences.

It is said that an agreement has been made between the Red Devils and their German counterparts, and a loan should be finalised sometime next week, though Tosic has not confirmed the move personally.

Sporting Lisbon, Olympiacos and Twente were also said to have taken an interest in the youngster.
