Isabella "Bella" Swan moves from sunny Phoenix, Arizona to rainy Forks, Washington to live with her father, Charlie, while her mother, Renée, travels with her new husband, Phil Dwyer, a minor league baseball player. Bella attracts much attention at her new school and is quickly befriended by several students. Much to her dismay, several boys compete for shy Bella's attention.

When Bella is seated next to Edward Cullen in class on her first day of school, Edward seems utterly repulsed by her. He disappears for a few days, but warms up to Bella upon his return; their newfound relationship reaches a climax when Bella is nearly run over by a fellow classmate's van in the school parking lot. Seemingly defying the laws of physics, Edward saves her life when he instantaneously appears next to her and stops the van with his bare hands.

Bella becomes determined to find out how Edward saved her life, and constantly pesters him with questions. After tricking a family friend, Jacob Black, into telling her the local tribal legends, Bella concludes that Edward and his family are vampires who drink animal blood rather than human. Edward confesses that he initially avoided Bella because the scent of her blood was too desirable to him. Over time, Edward and Bella fall in love.

Their relationship is disturbed when another vampire coven sweeps into Forks. James, a tracker vampire who is intrigued by the Cullens' relationship with a human, wants to hunt Bella for sport. The Cullens attempt to distract the tracker by splitting up Bella and Edward, and Bella is sent to hide in a hotel in Phoenix. There, Bella receives a phone call from James, who claims to be holding her mother captive. When Bella surrenders herself, James attacks her. Before she is killed, Edward, along with the other Cullens, rescues her and defeats James. Once they realize that James has bitten Bella's hand, Edward sucks the venom from her bloodstream before she is infected and becomes a vampire. After doing so, she is brought to a hospital. Upon returning to Forks, Bella and Edward attend their school prom and Bella expresses her desire to become a vampire, but Edward refuses.

On Bella's 18th birthday, Edward Cullen, the vampire she loves, and his family throw her a birthday party. While unwrapping a gift, she gets a paper cut, which causes Edward's adopted brother, Jasper, to be overwhelmed by her blood's scent and attempt to kill Bella. To protect her, Edward decides to end their relationship, and the Cullens move away from Forks. This leaves Bella heart-broken and depressed.

In the months that follow, Bella learns that thrill-seeking activities, such as motorcycle riding, allow her to "hear" Edward's voice in her head. She also seeks comfort in her deepening friendship with Jacob Black, a cheerful companion who eases her pain over losing Edward. Bella later discovers that Jacob is a werewolf. He and his fellow werewolves protect Bella from the vampires Laurent and Victoria, the latter of whom seeks revenge for her dead mate, James, whom the Cullens killed in Twilight.

Meanwhile, a series of miscommunications leads Edward to believe that Bella has killed herself. Distraught over her supposed suicide, Edward flees to Italy to provoke the Volturi, vampire royalty who are capable of killing him. Alice and Bella rush to Italy to save Edward, arriving just in time to stop him. Before leaving Italy, the Volturi tell Edward that Bella, a human who knows that vampires exist, must either be killed or transformed into a vampire. When they return to Forks, Edward tells Bella that he has always loved her and only left Forks to protect her. She forgives him, and the Cullens vote in favor of Bella being transformed into a vampire, to Edward's dismay. However, Edward gives Bella a choice: either she lets Carlisle change her after her graduation, or, if Bella agrees to marry him, he will change her himself.

Summary/ Rezumat

The story opens with the revelation that Seattle, Washington is being plagued by a string of unsolved murders, which Edward suspects is caused by a new vampire that is unable to control its thirst for human blood. As Edward and Bella apply to colleges, Bella explains to Edward her desire to see her werewolf friend, Jacob Black, again. Although Edward fears for her safety, Bella insists that neither Jacob nor his werewolf pack would ever harm her, and she begins visiting him occasionally. Meanwhile, Alice Cullen has a vision that Victoria, a vampire who is hunting Bella for revenge, has returned to Forks. A few days later, Edward proposes to Bella and, despite having an aversion to marriage, she accepts.

Bella and the Cullens realize that the murders in Seattle are being committed by an "army" of newborn vampires, controlled by Victoria. The Cullens join forces with the werewolf pack to combat this threat. As everyone else prepares for battle, Edward, Bella, and Jacob camp up in the mountains, hidden during the battle, where they are later joined by Seth Clearwater, a young member of the werewolf pack, to wait out the fight.

In the morning, Jacob becomes upset when he overhears Edward and Bella discussing their engagement and threatens to join the fight and get himself killed. To stop him, Bella kisses Jacob and comes to realize that she is in love with him too. During the battle, Victoria tracks Edward's scent to where Bella is hidden in the woods, and Edward is forced to fight. After Victoria and her army are successfully destroyed, Bella explains to Jacob that while she loves him, her love for Edward is greater. After receiving a wedding invitation from Edward, Jacob runs away in his wolf form to escape his pain, angry and heartbroken at Bella's decision to become a vampire.

Summary/ Rezumat

Breaking Dawn is split into three separate parts. The first part details Bella's marriage and honeymoon with Edward, which they spend on a private island off the coast of Brazil. Two weeks into their honeymoon, Bella realizes that she is pregnant and that her condition is progressing at an unnaturally accelerated rate. After contacting Carlisle, who confirms her pregnancy, she and Edward immediately return home to Forks, Washington. Edward, concerned for Bella's life and convinced that the fetus is a monster as it continues to develop with unnatural rapidity, urges her to have an abortion. However, Bella feels a pull towards the child and refuses to go through with the procedure.

The second part of the novel is written from the perspective of werewolf Jacob Black, and lasts throughout Bella's pregnancy and childbirth. Jacob's Quileute werewolf pack, not knowing what danger the unborn child may pose, make plans to destroy it, even though they must kill Bella to do so. Jacob vehemently protests this decision and leaves, forming his own pack with Leah and Seth Clearwater. Bella soon gives birth, but the baby breaks many of her bones and she loses massive amounts of blood. In order to save her life, Edward changes her into a vampire by injecting his venom into her heart. Jacob, who was present for the birth, almost immediately "imprints"—an involuntary response in which a werewolf finds his soul mate—on Edward and Bella's newborn daughter, Renesmee.

The third section of Breaking Dawn shifts back to Bella's perspective, finding her changed into a vampire and enjoying her new life and abilities. However, the vampire Irina misidentifies Renesmee as an "immortal child", a child who has been turned into a vampire. Because "immortal children" are uncontrollable, creating them has been outlawed by the Volturi. After Irina presents her allegation to the Volturi, they plan to destroy Renesmee and the Cullens. In an attempt to survive, the Cullens gather other vampire clans from around the world to stand as witnesses and prove to the Volturi that Renesmee is not an immortal child. Upon confronting the gathered Cullen allies and witnesses, the Volturi discover that they have been misinformed and immediately execute Irina for her mistake. However, they remain undecided on whether Renesmee should be viewed as a threat to vampires' secret existence. At that time, Alice and Jasper, who had left prior to the confrontation, return with a Mapuche called Nahuel, a 150-year-old vampire-human crossbreed like Renesmee. He demonstrates that the crossbreeds pose no threat, and the Volturi surrender. Edward, Bella and Renesmee return to their home in peace.

Emmett Cullen, born Emmett Dale McCarty in 1915, is a vampire and member of the Olympic Coven. He is the husband of Rosalie Hale and the adoptive son of Carlisle and Esme Cullen. Emmett is the adoptive brother of Alice and Edward Cullen, as well as the adoptive brother of Jasper Hale. He is the adoptive brother-in-law of Bella Cullen and the uncle of Renesmee Cullen.

After being mauled by a bear in 1935, Emmett was rescued by Rosalie Hale, and given a second chance at life after being transformed into a vampire by Carlisle Cullen at her request. Rosalie and Emmett were rarely parted after this, being that they were true soul mates. The pair were integral members of the Cullen family and participated eagerly in removing the numerous impediments it faced. Emmett also changes his eye colour like most vampires. Having enhanced physical vampiric strength, Emmett is the strongest in the Olympic Coven. Emmett has massive muscles which cannot grow since he is a vampire. Emmett is married to Rosalie; they have a strong connection together.

Esme Cullen (born Esme Anne Platt in 1895 and later Esme Anne Evenson), is a vampire and the matriarch of the Olympic Coven. Esme is the adoptive mother-in-law of Bella Cullen and the adoptive grandmother of Renesmee Cullen, as well as the ex-wife of Charles Evenson (In her human life).

In 1921, after losing her child, Esme attempted suicide, though she was transformed into a vampire by Carlisle Cullen. Some time later, the pair fell in love and married; before building a family of like minded "vegetarian" vampires around them. Esme possessed an unparallelled ability to love those around her passionately, which allowed the members of her adoptive family to consider her as the greatest maternal figure in their lives.

She is the imprintee of Jacob Black and the daughter of Edward and Bella Cullen. Renesmee's paternal grandparents are Edward and Elizabeth Masen. She is the granddaughter of Charlie Swan and Renee Dwyer as well as the adoptive granddaughter of Carlisle and Esme Cullen. She is the niece of Alice and Emmett Cullen and Rosalie and Jasper Hale.

Renesmee is considered to be Edward and Bella's "miracle", because of what it took to keep her and her mother alive through the pregnancy. Renesmee also has the special power to show people what she is thinking by touching them. In the beginning, Bella despises Jacob for giving her daughter the nickname "Nessie".

After Jacob Black imprints on Renesmee, Irina, a vampire from another coven, sees Renesmee and believes she is an "immortal child", a human child who had been bitten by a vampire. She informs the Volturi, as immortal children are not permitted to live. Intent on killing Renesmee and all the Cullens, the Volturi travel to Forks. However, the Cullen family members gather witnesses from around the world to prove that Renesmee is not an immortal child. Alice brings another half-breed, Nahuel, who explains that half-breeds pose no danger to the vampires. Convinced that Renesmee is not a threat, the Volturi leave, and Renesmee and her family are left in peace.

After becoming a major in the Confederate Army, Jasper was beset upon by the vampire Maria, who proceeded to turn him. After the transformation, Jasper aided Maria in her creation of a newborn vampire army which successfully conquered the feeding grounds of Texas. However, Jasper became tired of this violent life and eventually became a nomad. Fortunately, he was eventually found by Alice, the love of his life and with her began a life with the peaceful coven of the Cullen family

Rosalie is the adoptive sister-in-law of Bella Cullen and adoptive aunt of Renesmee Cullen, as well as the ex-fiancée of Royce King. In 1933, Rosalie was transformed into a vampire by Carlisle Cullen after being raped and beaten to the brink of death by a group of men including Royce King, her fiancé. Two years later, Rosalie rescued a young man named Emmett from being mauled by a bear, and after his transformation into a vampire, the two fell very deeply in love. Along with Emmett, Rosalie was an integral member of the Cullen family and fought eagerly against those who threatened them.

Olimpik Coven

The Olympic Coven, better known as the Cullen Family, is a clan of vegetarian vampires. It consists of Carlisle and Esme Cullen, Emmett and Alice Cullen, Edward, Bella and Renesmee Cullen, as well as Jasper and Rosalie Hale. They are known to be very loyal to each other (in the film they are shown each wearing a piece of jewelery featuring the 'Cullen' family crest). They currently live in Forks, Washington, which they currently have no plans of leaving. They are together, Carlisle and Esme, Edward and Bella, Emmett and Rosalie, Jasper and Alice. Carlisle is the creator of Edward, Esme, Rosalie, and Emmett. Jasper was created by a vampire named Maria and Alice was created by an unknown vampire. Edward created Bella and Bella gave birth to Renesmee.

Aside from the Volturi, the Olympic coven is the largest and most powerful coven.

Este seara dinaintea Craciunului in Casa Cullen,
Toti erau ocupati,nimeni nu era posac,
Emmet a daramat un brad dintr-o singura miscare,
Pe care Alice l-a decorat atat de maret,nici nu stii!
Numai un singur ciorap este atarnat in seara asta,
Pentru un copil numit Renesmee,care tipa de fericire!
Aceasta petrecere a fost facuta pentru o singura ocazie :
Sosirea nimeni altuia decat a lui Mos Craciun.
Inapoi la cabana,cu hartie si fundite,Bella impacheteaza cadouri pentru Nessie...cu Rose.
Fericita,ca acum sunt surori,atat de dragi,
Este incredibil cate s-au intamplat intr-un singur an.
Charlie si Sue,logoditi,si acum,se casatoresc,

10 lucruri pe care trebuie sa le stii despre Twilight

Chiar asa s-a numit un articol al revistei People: “10 things you must know about Twilight” . Mie mi s-au parut interesante. Sa incepem:

1. Echipei ii era teama de zilele insorite. “In mod normal cand se filmeaza un film, zilele insorite sunt cele mai potrivite pentru filmari.” a spus actorul Peter Facinelli ” In Twilight aveam nevoie de zile mohorate asa ca ne rugam sa avem parte de zile cat mai innourate. Cele senine ne opreau din filmari.

2. Muzica a apropiat echipa. “Era un karaoke fix langa hotelul nostru” a spus Kellan Lutz, care-l joaca pe fratele lui Edward, Emmett. “Mergeam acolo in fiecare fiecare joi iar Rob canta. Este un artist talentat.”

3. Marimea conteaza. Dupa declaratiile echipei de filmari peste 5 000 de actori s-au prezentat pentru a da auditie pentru rolul lui Edward. Norocul i-a suras insa lui Robert Pattinson a carui sigura aparitie memorabila de pana atunci fusese rolul din Harry Potter (Cedric Diggory).

4. Kristen filma contra cronometru. Deoarece avea 17 ani cand au inceput filmarile, legal ea putea filma doar 5 ore pe zi. “A fost greu pentru ca ea aparea in fiecare scena” a spus regizorul filmului Catherine Hardwicke. Cand a implinit 18 ani ea a primit un tort pe care scria: “De-acum esti a noastra si noaptea“.

5. Imitam tigrii! Pentru a invata cum sa se miste elegant ca vampirii, actorii au luat ore de dans si au privit casete cu tigrii pentru a observa cum se misca aceste feline cu viteza si gratie.

6. “Vrei sa fii sotia mea?“. Mai in gluma mai in serios Robert Pattinson i-a adresat aceasta intrebare de cateva ori colegei de filmari Kristen Stewart. Cei doi au povestit razand acest lucru la un interviu.

7. Robert este un tip pasional. Actorul s-a lasat dus de val in timp ce-o saruta pe Kristen. “Cand filmam scena sarutului” – isi aminteste Catherine-”Rob a devenit putin cam pasional si-a cazut de pe pat”

8. In film Bella conduce un camion primit cadou de la tatal ei. Actritei i-a placut atat de mult incat dupa terminarea filmarilor si-a cumparat unul asemanator.

9. Cam Gigandet a fost ingrozit de scenele in care trebuia sa apara fara camasa: “Niciodata nu mi-am dat in vreun film camasa jos pentru ca nu am prea multa incredere in mine” a spus actorul care-l interpreteaza pe vampirul James “Cand a trebuit sa filmez scena cu pricina mi-am spus: Ar cam trebui sa merg la sala”

10. Machiajul actorilor a fost foarte important in film. Intrebat desprea culoarea blonda pe care o are parul sau in film, actorul Peter Facinelli a dezvaluit care e secretul colegului de platou, Robert Pattinson, al carui par era mereu ciufulit: “Ca sa arati asa nu trebuie decat sa nu il speli”

Kellan Lutz – shirtless in Eclipse?

Popsugar a realizat de curand un interviu cu Kellan Lutz, frumuselul actor din Twilight Saga, si a aflat foarte multe lucruri despre el si despre urmatoarele doua filme.

Ei bine, iata ceva ce poate, o sa va surprinda. Kellan este implicat in foarte multe acte de caritate. Iubeste foarte mult copii si dupa cum singur declara, ar vrea daca ar putea, sa adopte cati mai multi copii orfani.

Intrebat daca fanele vor avea vreo sansa sa-l vada fara tricou in cel de-al treilea film, Kellan a ras. Nu a vrut sa dea foarte multe detalii, dar le-a spus ca este posibil. Acesta a mai declarat ca i se pare ciudat ca in cadrul filmarilor la “New Moon” nu a avut ocazia sa filmeze cu Dakota Fanning sau cu Taylor Lautner pentru ca nu au aparut in aceleasi scene. In “Eclipse” insa, lucrurile se schimba.

Acesta a mai adaugat ca a legat o prietenie sincera cu Robert Pattinson, pe care l-a si determinat sa mearga mai des la sala.

Cat despre “Breaking Dawn”, Kellan Lutz a spus ca este foarte incantat ca filmul va fi impartit in doua: “As prefera sa vad doua filme in locul unui film de 3 ore!”.
