Interested parties will need to fork out €25 million to sign Fiorentina starlet Stevan Jovetic, according to the player's agent.

The 19-year-old has netted seven league goals in 36 appearances for la Viola since arriving from Partizan in 2008.

But he shot to instant stardom in the club's recent Champions League clash with Liverpool, bagging both goals in the 2-0 victory over Rafael Benitez's side at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Reports were soon linking the 'Montenegrin Messi' - who has netted an impressive eight goals in just 12 outings for his country - with moves to Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Juventus and Bayern Munich.

However, the player's representitive Vlado Borozan insists Fiorentina are in no rush to sell the starlet.

And he added that if Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko - courted by a string of Premier League clubs during the close-season - is worth €25 million, then so too is Jovetic.

"Manchester United and Real Madrid wanted him before Fiorentina signed him," he told Fiorentinanews.

"I won't exclude [the possibility] that these two teams could return for Jovetic in future.

"However, his price is now around €25 million. He is worth more or less the same amount as Dzeko."

With the giant shadow of Peter Schmeichel looming over all those who stand in the United goal, we take a look at five possible candidates for the job:

Gianliugi Buffon

Having won the World Cup with Italy in 2006 and clinched a host of trophies with Parma and Juventus during his 14-year domestic careeer, Buffon is still widely held by many to be the best goalkeeper in the world. There was talk about him being over the hill last season, when he struggled with back and groin injuries, but he has been back to his best for Juve this season and at 31 is still relatively young for a keeper. Ferguson underlined the value of experience when he signed Van Der Sar at the age of 34 in 2005. The big problem will be finding the money to persuade Juve to sell, especially after Buffon signed a contract extension in the summer. However, he did express at interest in playing in the Premier League in March while dismissing talk of a lucrative move to City.

Igor Akinfeev

After breaking into the CSKA Moscow starting line-up at the age of 17 in 2003, he's been the club's first-choice goalkeeper ever since. He has a key role in helping the team win the Russian Premier League on two occasions and the UEFA Cup. He became the youngest-ever play to debut for Russia, at the age of 18 years and 20 days, in a friendly mach against Norway in April 2004. In his second Champions League campaign he managed to go 362 minutes without conceding a goal. Now 23, he has been compared to the legendary Russian keeper Lev Yashin.

Manuel Neuer

The highly rated 23-year-old has been linked with United since starring in the Germany side that won last summer's Under-21s European Championships in Sweden. After breaking into the Schalke 04 side in the 2006/07 season, he was one of only three players to play every minute of the subsequent season. In March 2008, he pulled off a series of stunning saves, including penalties from Bruno Alves and Lisandro Lopez, to help beat FC Porto and steer Schalke into the Champions League quarter-finals. Neuer's hero as a child was former Schalke and Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann.

Rui Patricio

Despite starting out as a striker as a youth player, Patricio quickly took to the gloves after being taken on by Sporting Lisbon's academy. He made his first-team debut aged 18 in November 2006, coming on as a substitute and saving a penalty to secure a 1-0 away win at C.S. Maritimo. He first came to United's attention with an impressive performance against the Reds in the 2007-08 Champions League campaign, with Ronaldo reportedly giving him a glowing endorsement. United scout Toninho Cruz has since watched the 21-year-old on several occasions.

Iker Casillas

A product of Real Madrid's youth system and still a one-club man at the age of 28, he has racked up 353 first-team appearances since making since debut in 1999. In 2000, he became the youngest-ever keeper to ever play in a Champions League final when Real Madrid beat Valencia 3-0 just four days after his nineteenth birthday. During the 2007-08 season, he only conceded 32 goals in 36 games as Real clinched their 31st La Liga title. He also captained Spain in the 2008 European Championships, becoming the first goalkeeper-captain to lift the trophy when they beat Germany 1-0 in the final.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is taking the positives from the injury to Wayne Rooney, and thinks the striker's absence will give someone else a chance to show what they can do for England.

Fabio Capello's men must face Belarus at Wembley on Wednesday without the Manchester United striker, who has picked up a calf strain.

Lampard, though, thinks that other players could benefit from the forward's absence.
