Andrea Pirlo has admitted the team know who the Rossoneri's new signing is...
The midfielder's own future has been decisively announced this afternoon, but the confirmation that the 30-year-old is remaining at San Siro is not the only transfer news around Milanello tonight.
News is breaking this evening that Milan have signed Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for €15m from Real Madrid, and these reports have been given further credence by Andrea Pirlo.
"The club will buy a great striker, we [the squad] know who he is but we cannot say," Pirlo told www.milannews.it.
"He will help us to win. On August 17 there is the Luigi Berlusconi Trophy [against Juventus], we are expecting many fans so that we can start the new season together."
After the Rossoneri hierarchy held a summit meeting earlier today, there has been good news for Milan fans after many were expecting the club to cash in on Pirlo, who was the subject of a bid from Chelsea.
Instead, Leonardo was instrumental in Pirlo's continued stay, and also seems to have pressed the club's directors into some much-needed spending ahead of the league campaign.

Although De Silvestri is close to a move to Fiorentina, Milan are also in negotiations and are not far off agreeing a deal...

Fiorentina may find their bid for Lorenzo De Silvestri scuppered by Milan, as the Rossoneri have a crucial bargaining chip in Ignazio Abate.

It has been reported that the Viola agreed an €8 million fee with Lazio for De Silvestri, but nothing has yet been signed.

After a summit meeting was held between the movers and shakers at San Siro yesterday, Milan's transfer negotiations are moving much more quickly and they are said to be close to a deal for Lazio's right-back, according to Milannews.it.

Draft proposals for the transfer have been drawn up between Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and Lazio president Claudio Lotito, but while Fiorentina have matched Lazio's asking price, Milan are considering a simple player exchange.

The Rossoneri are thought to believe that Abate's youth and talent is equivalent to that of De Silvestri and are hoping to take advantage of the good relations between the two clubs to push through a swap deal.

OFFICIAL: Milan Sign Klaas Jan Huntelaar From Real Madrid
The Rossoneri have confirmed the deal...

Milan have announced the signing of Real Madrid striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

Earlier this morning Rossoneri general manager Adriano Galliani confirmed that an agreement had been reached with Real Madrid for the frontman, and the official confirmation has now arrived.

A statement on Milan's official website reads:

"A.C. Milan communicate they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the purchase of striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

"The Dutch footballer will be subjected to the medical checks tomorrow, after which he will sign a contract which will keep him at the Rossoneri club until 30 June 2013."

Goal.com understands that Huntelaar has signed a four-year contract with the San Siro club. The transfer fee Milan have paid Real Madrid is believed to be €15 million.

This represents Milan's first significant signing of the summer. The Italian giants had made no secret of their intention to buy a top-class striker, and they will now be hoping that Huntelaar proves to be that man.

The 25-year-old, who only joined Real Madrid from Ajax in January for €20m, scored eight goals in 20 games for the Blancos before being deemed surplus to requirements following the return as president of Florentino Perez this summer.

Milan Slam Chelsea’s Persistence Following Addition Of Essien To Pirlo Offer
The Blues reportedly offered up their Ghanaian star to sweeten the bid for the Rossoneri's midfield maestro...
Chelsea have been strongly linked with Andrea Pirlo, the Milan playmaker, over the past few weeks; however, the Rossoneri recently confirmed that their World Cup-winning midfielder was off the market.
Despite this, there have been some rumours floating around speculating that the Blues have added a further enticement to their bid for the ex-Inter player.
Michael Essien is the man that could go the other way if the Italian giants were to agree to this deal, but according to the latest words of Adriano Galliani, this will not be taking place.
“Chelsea have raised their offer by adding Essien? Pirlo has been removed from the market, so not even this would be considered,” the vice-president of the Rossoneri stressed to Corriere dello Sport.
“The matter is now closed.”
The London-based outfit are among the early favourites to take home this season’s English Premier League title; however, they are still keen to bolster their squad in the lead-up to the new campaign starting next weekend.

Bologna Bidder Rezart Taci Open To Milan Investment - Report
The Albanian businessman has shed light on his next plan following the unsuccessful bid to buy the Rossoblu...

In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, Rezart Taci has revealed that he has not given up on his plans to invest in Serie A, despite a failed bid to takeover Bologna.

In a strange chain of events, it now seems Taci could invest in Milan following a significant meeting with Rossoneri patron Silvio Berlusconi.

“It is true we spoke for a long time,” Taci declared. “The bare facts however are that the interests of my group have now changed. It is these same interests that soon will tie us to a club playing in the Italian top-flight.

“Our investment group is weighing up a number of options. However, we hope to join forces with a club before the start of the Italian championship. Whilst Milan would be a very interesting club to invest in, I cannot rule out another offer for Bologna. What I can confirm is that it is also possible to become a smaller shareholder of a great club.”

With the Rossoneri having a recent flutter on the markets following their signing of Real Madrid’s Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, many are wondering if Taci has already offered funds to Berlusconi as he looks to take part in the Milan of the future.

Milan Eye Up Gonzalo Bergessio To Partner Klaas-Jan Huntelaar – Report
The fiery Argentine could complete a new-look attacking trident if he signs for the Rossoneri...

Gonzalo Bergessio is being touted as a potential offensive partner of new signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar at Milan.

The 25-year-old has been one of San Lorenzo's main goal threats since returning to South America in 2008, most notably scoring a double against River Plate in last year's Copa Libertadores to send El Ciclon through to the next stage.

After signing Huntelaar from Real Madrid, Rossoneri vice president Adriano Galliani quite literally took evasive action to avoid being questioned over the Milan’s future transfer activity.

This has led to suggestions in Friday’s Corriere dello Sport that Milan could raid the Argentine club for their star striker. Bergessio admitted earlier this summer that he felt he was ready to try his luck in Europe again, having had an unsuccessful stint with Benfica in 2007.

Bergessio, who has scored twice in three appearances for Argentina, is valued at €6 million by Diego Simeone's side, a price-tag that has dissuaded Villarreal and long-term admirers Catania from making a bid.

Most recently, the former Racing Club player has been in the news for causing a 'friendly' match to be abandoned after starting a mass brawl.

Bergessio's agent is expected to arrive in Milan next week to initiate talks, and if the deal goes through, it will place serious doubts over the future of Marco Borriello. The Italian missed much of last season through injury and is unlikely to find regular football at the Rossoneri.

Milan & Lazio Could Swap Massimo Oddo & Lorenzo De Silvestri
The two Italian sides could switch a couple of their defenders, who have a 12-year age difference between them...

According the qsvs.it, Milan and Lazio are considering swapping full-backs Massimo Oddo and Lorenzo De Silvestri.

The 21-year-old is considered a 'rebel' in the Biancocelesti camp as he has made it clear he would like to leave the club. His contract expires next summer, so Lazio are likely to make a move before losing him for nothing.

Meanwhile, veteran wing-back Oddo spent five successful seasons with the capital outfit before joining Milan in 2007 and would likely be welcomed back into the squad.

A condition of the deal is that the Rossoneri will have to remain paying a portion of the World Cup winner's salary, as his current wage is above the Biancocelesti’s financial means.

The report suggests a deal could even be completed by Saturday morning.

De Silvestri was recently included in Italy Under-21 coach Pierluigi Casiraghi's list of call-ups for a friendly against Russia.
