Golul lui Nani a fost formidabil,ce faza au putut sa faca Berbic si cu Nani...pur si simplu superb.Aparatorii chinezi o sa aiba mult timp de acum incolo probleme cu coloana.

Jocul echipei a crescut de la meci la meci,speram ca la meciul cu chelsea baietii sa fie total conectati si...de ce nu,sa le dea si lor vreo 8.

Fergie’s Striker Dilemma

Will Sir Alex be spoilt for choice this season?

After watching United demolish Hangzhou Greentown in China yesterday, it’s easy to get carried away with how the team is performing and in particular, our strikers. All four of our first team forwards have now found the back of the net on the tour of Asia and we’ve played some brilliant football too.

Wayne Rooney and Owen were on the score sheet in the first game against a Malaysia XI. Michael Owen scored his second in as many games against the same opponents and was joined by Federico Macheda who scored his first of the tour. Rooney, Macheda and Dimitar Berbatov were the scorers against FC Seoul. And then our fourth win from four games was won with goals from Owen and Berbatov, as well as goals coming from midfield.

With all of our strikers finding the back of the net, picking our first choice starting line up becomes quite a conundrum. When Owen was signed everyone thought he’d be used sparingly, and he still might, but he’s been used in all four games so far and has scored four goals. Can you leave such a free-scoring striker on the bench?

You would think the default line up would be a strike pairing of Rooney and Berbatov, with Owen being used as an impact substitute as and when he was needed. But that pair didn’t exactly set the Premiership alight last season. Admittedly the team and much of our play was built around Ronaldo, so we’re likely to see a very different attack this season, but I do question whether they can score enough goals as a partnership. Neither of them are particularly prolific and both like to drop deep and use their creativity to dictate play. Both of them also thrive playing with a pacy striker like Michael Owen.

Yesterday we saw a glimpse of what the strike pairing of Owen and Berbatov could blossom into. They were fantastic to watch and we played some of our best football for a long time. Berbatov’s creativity and vision, together with Owen’s off the shoulder runs and clinical finishing made for a devastating combination. Some of the passing and interplay was a pleasure to watch, reminiscent of Yorke and Cole. Now I know the opposition wasn’t exactly first class, but I’m sure Sir Alex will take encouragement from the fact that they played so well together and it may just make him rethink what our strongest line up is.

I think it’s a distinct possibility that Wayne Rooney may well be pushed out onto the left wing in the big games, much like last season in Europe. His workrate allows Evra to get forward and help the attack, and Rooney is very good at cutting inside to create chances as well as putting in those in-swinging crosses. With him on the left and Owen and Berbatov up front, we would certainly be a formidable team to play against.

The only player left to talk about is Kiko Macheda. He showed last season that he isn’t fazed by playing in the first team and he’s continued to show it out in Asia. At 17 years old he’s still very much a player for the future. He’ll no doubt get plenty of chances next season, but at the moment it’s pretty safe to say he’s fourth choice. He could turn out to be the impact sub we all thought Owen would be.

Whoever plays next season, I have faith in Sir Alex to make the right choices. Over the last few seasons we’ve become quite direct, mainly because Ronaldo has been so prolific in front of goal. Our football has suffered for it and although we’ve won plenty of silverware, we haven’t necessarily done it the United way. This season without Ronaldo I’m looking forward to the free flowing football we’ve become accustomed to over the years and there’s nobody better than Sir Alex to get everybody playing football the right way.

Am privit acum meciul lui real si pot sa spun ca nu m-au impresionat cu absolut nimic "galacticii",sunt tot pamanteni,cum au si fost.Ronaldo a jucat crispat,ca si cu irlandezii,se vede ca nu se simte in largul lui.Owen a venit la noi de la o echipa ce a retrogradat si a marcat deja de 4 ori,atmosfera de la noi e mai placuta.Barca ieri a jucat cu copiii si iau batut pe Al Ahly cu 4-1,simt eu ca in Spania tot Barca va face legea,iar real,cu toate milioanele lor,se vor kk pe ei.

Chiar daca la prima vedere plecarea celor doi jucatori de baza parea un dezastru,din ce am urmarit eu se pare ca e chiar un avantaj.Jocul echipei pare mai inchegat,se joaca mai mult colectiv,nimeni nu plange si nu face mofturi daca nu ii este data pasa la timp.Pana la urma conteaza sa ai echipa in detrimentul individualitatilor.E bine sa ai jucatori de top,dar daca acei jucatori joaca pt echipa si mai putin pt ei,rezultatul nu intarzie sa apara,e foarte important ca jucatorii sa fie altruisti.
