Leonardo sees Real Madrid's Robben as ideal for AC Milan

Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben has emerged as a surprise target for AC Milan.

Corriere dello Sport says Milan coach Leonardo sees the Holland international as an ideal addition for next season.

Leonardo plans to play a 4-3-3 system and is convinced Robben would be ideal.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri expect to hear from Wolfsburg this weekend about their offer for Edin Dzeko.

Milan chiefs Adriano Galliani and Ariedo Braida met with Dzeko in Sarajevo a fortnight ago and struck personal terms, says Tuttosport.

Galliani faxed an approach to Wolfsburg last week and expects a response before Monday. He has put aside £20 million to bring Dzeko to Serie A.

Milan have beaten off stiff competition from a host of top Serie A sides to the signature of Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti, according to reports in MilanNews.it.

The 26-year-old made a name for himself at Serie B side Albinoleffe and only debuted in Serie A last season, when Cagliari signed him on loan with an option to buy half his rights this summer.

The Rossoblu are expected to take up their option for €2.5 million, but it is suggested that president Massimo Cellino has already agreed to sell the stopper to Milan next year, when Brazilian net-minder Dida’s contract will expire.

Milan will now have to start negotiations with Albinoleffe for the remaining half of Marchetti’s rights. The total expenditure should be in the region of €8m.

Marchetti has been tipped to follow in the footsteps of Juventus ace Gianluigi Buffon. He made his senior Italy debut in a 3-0 international friendly win over Northern Ireland earlier this month.

Aly Cissokho Move To Milan May Collapse Due To Failed Medical
Sky Sport Italia are reporting that a problem with the Frenchman's teeth may see the move fall through...

Milan face the very real possibility of sending Ahly Cissokho back to Porto and scrapping the move for him following a problem which has emerged regarding his teeth, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The Rossoneri were due to announce the conclusion of the deal for the stopper on Tuesday, but club doctor Jean-Pierre Meersseman has requested a further medical after what should have been his final examination revealed new concerns over the player's teeth.

The report suggests Cissokoho will have another medical at Milan Lab later this afternoon and it is here where a final decision will be made as to whether he joins the club or not.

Vice president Adriano Galliani is expected to be present at the medical and an official announcement is expected to arrive within the next few hours. Cissokho's entourage are also in Milan and they are concerned.

Massimo Ambrosini's agent was set to meet Galliani today over the midfielder's future, but that move has slipped following the Cissokho drama.

Milan Icon Gennaro Gattuso Open To Chelsea Move
‘Ringhio’ says it would be hard to leave the Rossoneri, but the Premier League suits his style and Ancelotti is like a second father…

Carlo Ancelotti has left Milan after eight successful years in charge and migrated to England to embark on a new adventure at Chelsea.

The arrival of the Italian tactician at the west London club has prompted speculation that a number of Rossoneri men might follow him to Stamford Bridge. And combative midfielder Gennaro Gattuso definitely fits the bill…

“I like the Premier League. It’s the best league for me, for my characteristics,” Gattuso confessed to the Daily Mirror.

“I don’t know what will happen. I have been at Milan a long time and it’s not easy to go away, but we’ll have to see.

“Chelsea are a big, big team but working with Ancelotti is a good feeling. We have worked together for eight years and he is like a second father to me. He is a great person, and a great manager.”

Gattuso has been at Milan for 10 years and president Silvio Berlusconi has expressed his desire to see the Italy international take over the captain’s armband from legendary defender Paolo Maldini.

Chelsea have also been linked with moves for Milan's Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf, Brazilian starlet Alexandre Pato and Italy playmaker Andrea Pirlo, with the latter being particularly vague about his future at San Siro.

Aly Cissokho's Move To AC Milan Collapses
The Porto player will not be moving to the San Siro, according to the latest reports...

Earlier today, it was reported that concerns arose during Aly Cissokho's medical ahead of his move to AC Milan, regarding the player's teeth.

The left-back's move has now collapsed following the failed medical and he will not be joining the Rossoneri from Porto. There was a €15 million deal in the works, but the player will now remain a member of the Portuguese club after not signing the proposed contract.

The 21-year-old's agent, Boli, had little to say on the matter, but was clearly disappointed the transfer is now void. "You'll have to speak with Milan," he responded, according to Goal.com Italia, when asked about the latest developments.

Cissokho is considered a rising star, having moved to Porto in January 2009 and impressed enough to attract the interest of several to sides, including the Serie A giants.

Aly Cissokho’s Second Medical With Milan Goes Well – Report
The French player will be able to sign for the Rossoneri after the second more detailed test revealed that there are no problems.

Porto defender Aly Cissokho is set to complete his move to AC Milan after fears were revealed earlier on that his move to the Italian giants would collapse.

Apparently during his first medical, club doctor Jean-Pierre Meersseman found some teeth problems which led to the negotiations stalling before a new examination was carried out.

However, a second medical was taken later on this afternoon and this time no problems were found, thus paving the way for the 21-year-old's move to the Rossoneri.

This was confirmed by the French player before departing for his holidays in Senegal.

"I confirm that I undertook a first medical which highlighted some problems, but soon afterwards a second more detailed check-up went well," declared the future Milan player to Maisfutebol.

"I already signed the pre-contract and now I go for my holidays in Senegal."

This means that on his return there will be a contract to sign which will tie him down to the Rossoneri, when he can therefore start his new adventure in Serie A.
