"My choice for Ronny's replacement would be Wesley Sneijder of Real Madrid. I would go for Ribery but considering Bayern Munich are demanding obscene amounts for the Frenchman then Sneijder would be the logical target, especially with Real's increasing amount of attackers. If Sneijder fails then I would suggest targeting David Silva (available through Valencia's downfall) or an Englishman in Ashley Young."

"Sergio Aguero has a buyout clause of £45million in his contract. He reminds me a lot of Ronaldo and Messi and I think that though he's usually a striker, he could play in a very similar position to Ronaldo. Daniele De Rossi is my favourite holding midfielder. He looks a lot like Keane, in my opinion, and would be brought in for his defensive prowess but could also contribute in attack. Maicon would be great in our squad and would last until Rafael's ready to take over the right-back mantle. Finally, Michael Owen is available on a free transfer. I know he's an ex-Liverpool player, but a scorer is a scorer and we should take a chance on him."

"Ribery or Silva, and Benezema or Aguero. I also think Marouane Fellaini is sick. He hasn't played in his natural position (defensive midfield) for Everton this season, but I think in that position he would be an absolute animal. Plus he's only 21, so it would be worth getting him while he's young and cheaper than he will be in a few years."

"Has any one looked at buying in some English players? I would raid the Emirates for Theo Walcott. With Giggsy and Scholsey around for some time he would have quite a few things to learn from them, and he could become one of the best players in the world. Then I'd pay another £15m for Ashley Young, who is extremely fast and has a couple of tricks up his sleeve. With those two down the wings, it would be a field day for Wazza and Berba in the centre. If Kia Joorabchian agrees for £25m I would have Tevez in my line up as well. Last, but not least, I would snap up Michael Owen on a free transfer."

"If Ribery cannot be signed, I struggle to think of a winger even worth signing, as nobody would come close. But if I'm pushed, I'd suggest Silva from Valencia, Douglas Costa from Gremio, although he'd need years to mature. Hopefully Aguero will also be signed."

"To be honest I can see what everyone sees in Valencia. He looks ok on occasion but that's because he is a big fish in a small pond at Wigan. I think we would be far better looking to buy Ashley Young. He is quick, puts in decent crosses, takes on defenders and beats them, has two good feet and can play right or left. Plus he is young and is already featuring for england."

E interesant sa veedem ca aproximativ toti fanii gandesc cam la fel si au cam aceleasi preferinte legate de achizitionatea inlocuitorului lui CR.

Totusi imi este interesant un fapt.Citind aceste reactii ale fanilor,postul legat de Messi m-a facut sa ma gandesc la anumite lucruri si sa ajung la concluzia ca Real nu cumpara jucatori pt a face performante ci cumpara imagine.
Oare de ce nu s-a vorbit de transferul la real al lui Messi sau al lui Gerrard? Sunt doi jucatori formidabili.Daca as avea de ales intre 4 de Kaka si un Gerrard,as alege englezul.Sau chiar de Xavi sau Iniesta? Poate din cauza ca acesti jucatori sunt preocupati mai mult de fotbal si mai putin de vanzarea imaginii?

FERGUSON GETS GO-AHEAD TO SPEND

Manchester United's transfer policy will not be affected by their debt mountain.

With a £650million debt to service, there were some fears that the Glazer family might use some of the £80million Real Madrid have pledged to pay for Cristiano Ronaldo against the interest at least.

However, manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been assured that will not be the case, allowing the Scot to pursue the likes of Antonio Valencia and Franck Ribery without worrying too much about the cost.

"Nothing that has happened over the past four years would lead you to believe the owners are not going to continue investing in the team," said a Glazer family spokesman.

"A substantial number of world-class players have been brought to the club in the past few years and that will still be the case."

While there is a general understanding of why the question is being asked, the Glazer family point to their record of backing Ferguson in the transfer market since their controversial takeover.

They insist that policy has not changed despite the ongoing credit crunch, which is having an impact on United's corporate ticket sales.

"The idea Manchester United are motivated by a debt burden is just not true," added the spokesman. "It is not an issue.

"The fact is Cristiano Ronaldo decided, after six years, it was time to move on and the manager said okay.

"Sir Alex Ferguson is in total control of his squad. He is empowered to make whatever decisions he thinks are in the best interests of Manchester United. That continues to be the case."

Given confirmation that US finance giant Aon are to become new shirt sponsors in 2010, a positive spin on the past two weeks would emphasise the removal of two areas of uncertainty, allowing the club to focus on what lies ahead free from the spectre of future problems.

"Two big issues have now been removed which, in its own way, is good for everyone," the spokesman added.

In any event, according to PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor, Ferguson will have let Ronaldo leave on the basis that Wayne Rooney is the man he really cannot afford to be without.

"It is an interesting question and a difficult decision but as an Englishman, if I was asked to make a choice between the two I would have Wayne Rooney," declared Taylor.

"Wayne has not been far away from being one of the best players in the world for a long time and certainly the way he finished off the season bodes well for Manchester United and England.

"Anyone would want a player of Cristiano Ronaldo's calibre in their team but I would certainly not view his departure as a backward step for Manchester United at all."
