Arsène Wenger believes his side have enough attacking options to win at Liverpool on Tuesday and does not regret failing to sign a striker in the January window.

Eduardo's season ended with the broken leg he suffered at Birmingham on February 23 while the last game of Tomas Rosicky (hamstring) came almost a month earlier than that.

Robin van Persie returned from his own injury problems at the start of March but the Dutchman went off at half time in the Champions League Quarter-Final first leg at Emirates Stadium last Wednesday with a thigh problem. We will find out late on Monday afternoon (UK time) if the 24-year-old has recovered but, whatever the injury news, Wenger feels he can get the necessary result.

"I think we have enough resources to qualify on Tuesday night," he said. "We go until the end of the season and then see what it is like. But it was difficult to predict that Eduardo, Van Persie and Rosicky would be out together and for such a long time."

Saturday's 1-1 draw against, ironically, Liverpool did nothing to help Arsenal's comeback bid in the title race. Wenger's men were top of the table for much of the season but have been overtaken in the past month. It only adds weight to argument that the squad at Emirates Stadium is thinner than those at the other contenders. So should Wenger have bought midway through the campaign?

"Then we would have wage bills as big as [the other teams too]," said the Frenchman. "Yes we have a rich budget and a big potential when the stadium's paid. But as well I feel some young players have made a big progress and next year they will be better players.

"Players like Bendtner have already made progress from the how he was at the start of the season. Next year you can consider him a real striker."

#11431 I7epeLL, asta cam mereu a fost problema lui Wenger, IMHO. Pur și simplu nu vrea să recunoască că aveți nevoie de reîntăriri rapide - jucători deja formați, p/u că altfel nu veți prea putea ține pasul cu cheltuitori majori ca MU sau Chelsea.

Robin van Persie has been included in Arsenal's 18-man squad for the Champions League Quarter-Final second leg against Liverpool at Anfield.

The Dutch forward was substituted at half-time in last Wednesday's first leg after suffering a recurrence of the thigh injury which has sidelined him for much of this year. Van Persie missed Saturday's Premier League clash with Liverpool but returns to the squad for Tuesday night's decisive European tie.

Abou Diaby is also back in Arsenal's squad. The Frenchman's domestic suspension does not affect his participation in European competition. Philippe Senderos is also back after sitting out the weekend game while Armand Traore drops out.

Bacary Sagna (ankle), Eduardo (broken leg) and Tomas Rosicky (leg) are all injured.

Tomas Rosicky's domestic season appears to be over after the Czech Republic national team doctor voiced concerns over the Arsenal midfielder's battle to regain fitness.

The 27-year-old limped out of January's FA Cup clash against Newcastle with a knee problem and he has struggled to regain fitness ever since.

Doctor Petr Krejci fears Rosicky will not return for the Gunners this season - or even make a recovery in time for this summer's Euro 2008 tournament.

"It can fade away in two weeks but it can last for further three months as well. And since it has lasted two months already, we are a little concerned," Krejci told Sport.

"If I'm being honest, I am worried if he'll make it for Euro 2008."

Rosicky speaks regularly to Krejci, who confirmed the player still feels pain when asked to stretch himself.

He said: "It still hurts him. He can run and jog but he would be afraid of making a sprint now.

"We have agreed that he will not yet start full training.

"He is resigned to the possibility of perhaps not appearing in the Premier League again this season and that he will not play in the spring."

He added: "His priority is Euro 2008."
