The reason it's simple, let's say the crowd has 20k people, 3k were there because of the music and 17k were there because of Tiesto himself.
Today Tiesto plays house and comercial music and the same 17k people are there too, while the remaining 3k are still fans of trance and not just because they like the person behind the decks.
It's the big names that are dictating the sounds we listen to, we have the freedom to remain ourselfs and choose what we like,or be like cattle and go with the flow.
It just takes a deeper leve or understanding and seeing beyond the brands and the names.
