Gary Cahill

We have to be realistic and John Terry won’t be around forever.
England international Gary Cahill would give us a no-nonsense defensive approach, which we are sorely missing.
Having played alongside Terry in the national team they could be a dream combination and solve a defensive problem.
To make way for Cahill I would sell Alex.

Alvaro Pereira

I think Ashley Cole needs competition for the left-back position and Uruguayan international Pereira is the man to provide it.
AVB knows him well from Porto, too and although we have Ryan Bertrand I would rather we  strengthen our team as we need players who have experience. Bertrand is still young and he has a lot to show, but it’s not the right time to show it with the first team.
Ashley Cole is our first choice in the left-back position, but sometimes he will get injured or need resting and no one can replace him except Pereira.

Chiek Tiote

Chelsea used to boss games in the midfield, but no longer is happening now.
ChiekTiote is the kind of midfield enforcer AVB could do with in the physical world of the Premier League.
Everyone knows that Essien can do this job but he is struggling to stay fit and is not quite the same after some very serious injuries.
Tiote has been a revelation at Newcastle, and he’s the type of player that we need in midfield.

Moutinho

Andre Villas Boas knows all about his former player Moutinho is capable of and would no doubt love to be able to call upon him as he attempts to refine Chelsea’s attacking play. Moutinho is another choice for our midfield, he would be a great addition for the team and he’s still young.

Thomas Muller

Thomas Müller is exactly the type of mobile, hard-working, dangerous midfielder that Chelsea need to haul them back into Premier League contention, not to mention aid our chances in the Champions League.
Muller if he came to Chelsea, he’ll play the role that Steven Gerrard did at Liverpool for Fernando Torres. I think he could revitalise Torres and get him back on the right track.
