Messi a semnat noul contract, valabil pana in 2016

Vineri dupa-amiaza la ora locala 15.00 Lionel Messi a semnat noul contract cu FC Barcelona care ii leaga destinul de clubul catalan pana in anul 2016. Noua intelegere prevede marirea clauzei de reziliere de la 150 la 250 de milioane de euro, iar salariul pe care decarul Barcelonei il va incasa trece de 10 milioane de euro anual.

Contractul a fost semnat in prezenta presedintelui Joan Laporta, a fratelui jucatorului (Rodrigo), a vicepresedintilor Rafael Yuste si Joan Boix, secretarului tehnic Txiki Begiristain si a directorului departamentului fotbal, Raul Sanlehi.

Site-ul oficial al clubului FC Barcelona noteaza ca daca Messi isi va duce la capat contractul, in 2016 el va fi aparat deja de 15 ani culorile Barcei dupa ce s-a incorporat in grupele inferioare de varste ale clubului in 2001.

Intr-o prima declaratie oferita postului de televiziune BarcaTV, presedintele Joan Laporta si-a exprimat deplina satisfactie pentru incheierea cu bine a actiunii de imbunatatire a contractului lui Messi: “Este cea mai buna veste pe care o putea primi Barça imi ziua de azi”, a declarat numarul 1 al gruparii catalane, explicand ca acordul reprezinta si o recompensa pentru “tot ce da el Barcelonei si fotbalului”.

“In aceste momente poate fi conceputa o Barcelona fara un jucator de talia lui Messi”, a mai declarat Laporta, exprimandu-si totodata speranta ca “Messi se va retrage de la Barça”.

Ronaldinho, mijlocaşul lui AC Milan, se gândeşte foarte serios să se retragă din activitatea fotbalistică la finalul acestui sezon. Starul brazilian este departe de forma fizică şi psihică ce l-a consacrat la Barcelona şi este dezamăgit de lipsa de succes pe care a avut-o de când a venit la Milano, informează cotidianul spaniol Sport, citat de Goal.com.

Jucătorul de 29 de ani a trecut din curtea Barçei în cea a Milanului în urmă cu un an, dar forma slabă arătată pe parcursul meciurilor l-a făcut să ajungă "victima preferată" a criticilor din presa italiană.

Se pare că brazilianul îşi dorea să se retragă încă din ultimul an petrecut la Barcelona, dar a fost convins de către agentul său, Roberto de Assis, să renunţe la idee. Acum, odată ce şansele sale de a participa la Campionatul Mondial din 2010 sunt aproape nule, iar ideea de a juca în ţara natală nu îi surâde, "Dinho" pare îndreptăţit mai mult ca niciodată să pună ghetele în cui.

Marquez & Puyol Expected To Renew Barcelona Deals - Report
Laporta says the club has made very good offers to both players...

Following the contract renewals of Lionel Messi, Victor Valdes, Yaya Toure and an imminent deal for Andres Iniesta, Barcelona president Joan Laporta says he wants the futures of Carles Puyol and Rafael Marquez finalised by the end of 2009.

"There are offers on the table for Puyol and Marquez and we are waiting for their answers," Laporta is quoted as saying by Sport.

"The club has made very good offers and trusts that they will be accepted before the end of the year."

The contracts offered to both players are believed to maintain their current pay levels until 2012 and Laporta says that the players are expected to follow the lead of those who have already renewed.

"We thank those that have signed new deals for their participation in the future of the club. These are two iconic players [Puyol and Marquez] that have to follow," he added.

"These are two issues that the club wants resolved by Christmas. It would be good for the club if they don't take too long."

Victor Valdes - 6: Couldn't do much about the two goals, but had a few calamitous moments, including one where he was lucky not to be punished for being stranded well outside the area.

Daniel Alves - 8: Was a constant menace down the right. Scored a sublime free-kick, and played a huge part in the fifth.

Gerard Pique - 8: The best of the back-line, another commanding performance.

Dmytro Chygrynskiy - 7: Showed his skill with distribution, but was caught out on a couple of occasions by the speed of Atleti's forwards.

Maxwell - 7: Provided valuable support down the left flank, but did allow a bit too much space at times.

Sergio Busquets - 7: A great pass for the goal that started the rout, but he also gave away the first with a shocking header, having nearly made the same mistake earlier.

Seydou Keita - 8: Continues his impressive start to the season with another solid performance, capping it off with a goal.

Xavi - 8: Another masterclass. Hardly gave the ball away, and showed his sublime touch with the assist for Messi.

Lionel Messi - 9: Took both his goals brilliantly, and was a constant menace for the terrified Atleti defence.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic - 8: Drifted out of the game at times, but started things off with a sublime finish, and also played a large part in Keita's goal.

Thierry Henry - 7: Unlucky not to have a goal on the night, especially after his effort in the first minute, but once again demonstrated his value to the side.

Substitutes

Andres Iniesta - 7: Barca had eased off when he came on, but still showed some nice touches as he worked his way back to full fitness.

Platini Praises Barcelona's Football Style
The Blaugrana have provided the UEFA boss with plenty of enjoyable viewing lately...

After witnessing yet another spectacular performance from Barcelona, UEFA president Michel Platini gave them a glowing endorsement.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Platini said, "In Barca, the ball runs, not the players.

"Their passing tires out the opposition. Therefore they always manage to control the game."

Platini then went on to analyse the earlier Champions League clash against Inter, continuing, "Inter did all they could.

"They have not won in Europe for a long time, and their objective is to create a new team that wins international prestige. Evidently, if you play against a team like Barcelona who has 70 percent possession, you will defend a lot.

"Mourinho is right to say that they did their best, and a draw is a good result for them."
