Patronul lui Manchester City, Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim, a declarat că după transferul lui Robinho, urmează un nou transfer bombă pentru gruparea de pe "City of Manchester", starul lui United, Cristiano Ronaldo.
"Ronaldo a declarat de mai multe ori că îşi doreşte să evolueze la cea mai bună echipă din lume, vom vedea în ianuarie dacă a vorbit serios. Real i-a estimat valoarea la 160 de milioane, dar pentru un jucător ca el, sunt dispus să ofer 240 de milioane. Vom fi cel mai mare club din lume, mai mare decât Real şi Manchester United la un loc" , a declarat patronul lui City pentru Business Magazine.

New signing Dimitar Berbatov explains why he shunned offers from United's rivals to wear the red shirt...

It feels fantastic to be a Manchester United player. It was a long battle but in the end I'm very happy to be here at the greatest club in the world. Hopefully I’ll play my part in the team and we win many trophies as well.

I always believed I would end up here. I was going through very difficult times but I always believed that things were going to happen and in the end they did. Now I'm the happiest guy in the world.

The red shirt is a really, really big thing for me. The people around me, my really close friends know that I play to enjoy, to entertain the fans. I don’t play for the money. If I wanted to play for the money, I would accept Manchester City's offer or Chelsea's. I want to play for the biggest club in the world and that’s why I’m here. I’m thankful for everybody, for the help they have given me and for the work they did.

I hope I can play my part and help United win more trophies because that's an important thing in football. And of course, I hope I’ll enjoy the football with the players we have here.
I’m 27 and now is my time. This is maybe the last step in my career. I’m at the biggest club in the world and here I can develop in the way I want, the way I always wanted. That’s the most important thing for me.

I have been handling expectation and pressure through all my life. I’m not scared, that’s why I’m here. The most important thing is to enjoy myself, to help the team win more trophies, entertain the fans and if I do that, if I show my ability like I did at Tottenham, I don’t think there'll be any problem.

Our next game (Liverpool) is the type of game we live for. I think it's the biggest game and I can’t wait to play.

Salutare la toti!
Ma bucur nespus da mult ca a pornit TMD,a ajuns un drog deja pt multi dintre noi,dar cel mai rau e ca a cazut exact cand nu trebuia si nu am putut sa ne bucuram live de achizitia facuta.Oricum am stat luni pana tarziu de pe telefon pe net sa vad cum se va termina povestea cu Berba si am avut niste emotii atunci cand am citit stirea precum ca City ofera mai mult decat United pt bulgar.
In fine,tzeapa lui City ca nu l-au luat si tzeapa lui clensky ca l-au pierdut pe Robinho,care oricum nu va rupe gura targului in EPL.Felicitari tuturor!

#14914 dorelu, "... sunt dispus să ofer 240 de milioane ..." - Nu cred,e declaratia unui om care vrea sa atraga atentia asupra sa din prima zi ca proprietar a acestei echipe,dar totusi,printr-o minune se adevereste zvonul,eu l-as da legat cu fundita rosie.Nimeni de pe acest pamant nu valoreaza atat si plus la asta de acesti bani se poate de adus atatia inlocuitori pt CR.Anul asta oricum el nu va mai fi la acelasi nivel din sezonul trecut,exact asa cum au facut cate un sezon furori Ronaldo,Ronaldinho s.a.
Va fi scandalul secolului daca va pleca la o rivala de moarte,dar...sunt doar zvonuri si spectacolul unor "imbroboditi" care au pietrolul sub picioare.United a mai dovedit inca odata ca e cea mai tare din lume castigand 2 mari razboaie si avand puterea sa stea in picioare,am reusit 2 mari transferuri in acest sezon.

«Манчестер Юнайтед» назначил Майка Фелана ассистентом Фергюсона, а Рене Малестина тренером основного состава,- сообщает сайт клуба.

Фелан сменил на этом посту Карлоса Кейруша, который покинул команду в июле, приняв предложение возглавить сборную Португалии, а Рене Малестин соотвественно заменил Фелана на его посту тренера основного состава.

«Я очень рад, что Майк и Рене согласились занять эти важные посты»,- сказал Фергюсон. «Майк знает «Манчестер Юнайтед» от и до, поскольку связан с клубом более 20 лет. Он очень талантливый и профессиональный тренер, вклад которого в успехи команды часто недооценивают».

«Рене привнесет различные идеи и опыт на посту тренера основного состава. Я полагаю, что эти два человека помогут команде и дальше двигаться к успеху во все более и более сложной конкурентной борьбе в футболе».

Майк Фелан пришел в «Манчестер Юнайтел» из «Норвич Сити» в 1989 году, провел в составе команды 102 матча и забил 2 гола, , а затем ушел в «Вест Бром» в 1994. В 1995 он вернулся в «Норвич» в качестве ассистента главного тренера, а позже работал в «Блэкпуле» и «Стокпорт Каунти». Летом 1999 он вернулся в «Юнайтед» в качестве тренера резервной команды, а затем после ухода из команды Стива Маккларена в 2001 году занял пост тренера основного состава.

Рене Малестин пришел в «Юнайтед» в январе 2001 года, уже имея тренерский опыт работы в Голландии и на Ближнем Востоке, и Фергюсон назначил его тренером по развитию технического мастерства футболистов. В 2005 малестин добавил к своим обязанностям должность тренера резервистов клуба. После того как 2006 год Малестин провел в качестве тренера в датском «Брондбю», он вернулся в «Юнайтед» вновь на пост тренера по техническому мастерству игроков, с января 2007 года работая главным образом с основным составом.
