Kaka Shows Emphatic Pro-Milan Gesture To Protesting Fans

The Brazilian megastar is reported to have recently emerged from his house and greeted a sea of Milan fans holding a Rossoneri shirt...

Tonight could be the decisive night in the Kaká transfer saga. The Brazilian's father and agent Bosco Leite held talks earlier this evening with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani for two hours, and is now in talks with Manchester City chief executive, Garry Cook.

Earlier today, around 500 Milan fans presented themselves at the club's headquarters at Via Turati to protest against the player's likely departure, and now they have moved to Via Saffi, near Kaká's house.

It seems the fans have succeeded at least in that, judging by the player's reaction. According to various news reports, the Ballon d'Or winner came to the window to salute the fans who were present, beating his hand on his chest and waving the Rossoneri shirt.

Milan Agree Kaka Fee With Manchester City

Milan are reported to have agreed to sell their talismanic forward, with personal terms now needing to be agreed for a deal to be complete...

Manchester City and Milan have come to an agreement for transfer of Kaka, according to SKY Italia. The player must now agree personal terms so that the signing is complete. It is speculated that Kaka will officially be announced as a Manchester City player tomorrow morning.

It is being reported that a record-smashing fee of €120 million has been tabled by the world's richest club and that Kaka, Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year winner for 2007, will earn in the region of €250,000 per week.

Crunch talks were held this evening in Milan between Bosco Leite - Kaka's father and agent - as well as City chief executive Garry Cook and Milan officials.

It is now expected that Kaka just needs to agree terms for the signing to be complete. The 26-year-old was escorted by police from his house this evening, shortly after he was seen holding aloft a Rossoneri shirt and applauding protesting fans.

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has released a statement claiming Kaka is "unsellable" and will not be moving to Manchester City.

It has been reported that a record-smashing fee of €120 million was tabled by the world's richest club and that Kaka, Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year winner for 2007, was set to earn in the region of €250,000 per week if he chose to sign.

The Rossoneri were rumoured to have accepted the super-size bid in order to re-strengthen their aging side, and it was suspected that all that remained was for Kaka to agree personal terms. There were rumours that though the Brazilian wished to remain at San Siro for the rest of his career as a club talisman, that he may have been pressured into leaving for the long-term good of the club.

He has now appeared live on Italian television as it has been announced by Diavoli president Berlusconi that he will not be leaving the club.

"I am very happy," declared a beaming Berlusconi. "Kaka is not only a great player on the pitch, he is also a very honourable man.

"Not only is money not everything to him, he is happy to stay at Milan with all his friends.

"He is touched with everything he has received from all the fans in Milan who pleaded him to stay.

"Kaka has never held Milan to ransom by trying to up his own contract while considering Manchester City's offer.

"He hasn't asked for an extra penny to stay here - he is a very honourable man.

"What has happened over the last week with Man City proves that money is nt everything in football.

"Milan told Kaka about the offer of Man City, just like we did with Sheva [Andriy Shevchenko] about Chelsea.

"The offer Kaka received was substantially more, but he never held Milan to ransom, and chose to stay.

"Me personally, as a football fan, I am very, very happy

Kaka signed for Milan from Sao Paulo in 2003 for €8.5m. He made a total of 244 appearances in the Rossoneri shirt and scored 86 goals.

Kaká Rejected City Because He Wants Real Madrid - Report

If you thought that the Kaká saga was over, then think again because AS are at it once more and believe that the Brazilian turned down Manchester City because he is desperate to join Real Madrid.

Kaká rejected the move to Manchester City because he wants to join Real Madrid and feels betrayed by Milan after the Spanish giants reignited their interest in signing him, AS believe.

While Rossoneri officials hail Kaka's decision to remain in Italy as a victory of the heart over money and fan power over 'business', the Spanish daily sports paper has a different perspective.

Madrid are reported to have let Kaká and his father, Bosco, know that they could offer the star a bigger platform than Manchester City, a move which had some effect, according to the paper.

"The Brazilian superstar had one foot in Manchester, but finished with both in Milan, while his head is in Real Madrid," AS state.

"Kaka has reached the conclusion that Milan want to sell him. Since Monday he has felt betrayed and knows he is free to negotiate with the club he wants; Real Madrid."

AS is the paper that drew the ire of Milan officials for printing a front page with Kaká reading the publication while talking about his hopes of Madrid wining the league.

Now it is believed that Los Merengues could take advantage of the situation at Milan, but the Spanish club have their own problems after Ramón Calderón, who had previously promised to sign Kaká, resigned.

"Sources from the club told the newspaper yesterday that 'now is the moment to sign Kaká; he is the best player to bring to the team' but they also said that 'the problem would be in convincing Vicente Boluda after he said that there would be no more signings,'" the paper wrote.

AS quote the same 'source' as stating: "Kaká would be a fantastic acquisition. He is 26 and is highly acclaimed. He would help us more than any other in the Champions League, even more so than Cristiano Ronaldo because he needs a team to shine, while Kaká makes a team shine."

While Kaká has a contract until 2011 at the San Siro, he is waiting for a firm sign from Madrid, the paper goes on, but the paradox is that the Spanish club did not sign him when they had the chance.

"Kaká feels ignored," AS continue. "After the arrival of Ronaldinho and Beckham, Berlusconi wasted little time in nearly selling him.

"Given the choice between trophies and money, then the latter comes first. At least, that is the case for the sheikh, the player's father and for Berlusocni, but not for Kaká himself."

This time the Madrid-leaning publication looks set to take over from where Marca left off with Cristiano Ronaldo and ignore what everyone else is saying, in particular Kaká himself, who has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Milan.

"I feel great in a place where everybody loves me and I'm very happy to stay," he told Italian TV.
