Felipe Mattioni is a 20-year-old right-back that has been linked with a move to the Italian Serie A for the large part of the season. He is a phenomenal young talent, who is tipped to become the next Maicon, as a result of his pace, strength and skill, as well as his defending and attacking prowess. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan have reached an agreement with Gremio for the player, which will see him remain in Milan for the next four seasons. The player himself stands 177cm tall and is 72kg, and can play in the midfield as well as at the back. He has made 19 appearances for Gremio this term, and despite his good form for his Brazilian club, his agent has confirmed the following: “Felipe is already in Italy and tomorrow he will undertake a medical in Milan. “He has signed a contract for four and a half years, and can commence playing immediately,” as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport. The signing of the defender will cost the Milanese club around €6 million, and he will be a great addition to their defensive ranks, as that is an area in which creativity and pace is lacking. Milan are prepared to sell Kaka to Manchester City due to the size of the proposed transfer fee, according to Sky Sports News. The report concluded that it is now up to the former World Player of the Year to decide whether or not he wishes to make the move this month, in the summer or indeed at all. The Brazilian's name has long been linked with City since their Sheikh Mansour backed takeover that transformed them into the richest club overnight at the beginning of September. This week saw the possibility of Kaka at Eastlands a reality, as chief executive Garry Cook flew out to Milan to negotiate a deal. Reports emerged that they were unable to reach an agreement, and though Kaka has expressed an admiration for the Premier League, he has maintained that he is only willing to leave Milan if the club want him to go. La Gazzetta dello Sport continued to speculate that a €100 million fee had been agreed and that it was now up to Kaka to decide his future. Citizens boss Mark Hughes then held a press conference this morning insisting that, contrary to earlier reports, City had not withdrawn their interest in the player, but not commenting on the news that the club had instead turned their attention to a 'B-list' Serie A striker.
