Arsenal’s Wenger: No New Talks With Fabregas Yet

According to Arsene Wenger, Cesc Fabregas has been misreported over the contract talks as the Arsenal manager denied that they are in talks over a new deal for the playmaker.

Earlier, media reports claimed that the Spain international, who is tied at the north London club until 2014, has said he is in talks with the club over extending his stay.

But Wenger has dismissed the suggestion, but stressed that the 20-year-old is fully committed to Arsenal, even as reports of Real Madrid and Barcelona interest in the talented player have surfaced time and again.

“We are not in negotiations at the moment,” the Frenchman said on the club’s official website. “What he [Fabregas] did want to say is that he is committed for a long-term future here.

“What we do is always deal with the negotiation at the end of the season and at the moment we are focused on the short-term. That means winning every game.”

Wenger, however, is certain that Fabregas, who joined the Gunners aged 15, can be an even better player.

“You think because he is so good that he has nothing left to come out but he has an internal desire to improve,” he added.

“There is not a limit for him and every year he will improve tremendously.”

Usmanov nets more Arsenal shares
An investment firm co-owned by Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov has revealed it has increased its stake in Arsenal football club to 24%.

Red and White Holdings previously had about 23% of the club's shares and has been reported to have a goal of owning at least 25%.

Mr Usmanov is a metals magnate with an estimated $5.5bn fortune.

He bought into Arsenal in August last year, paying former vice-chairman David Dein about £75m for his 14.65% holding.

Mr Dein is now chairman of the consortium.

If the stake was to reach 30%, Red and White would have to launch a formal takeover approach.

Late last year, after announcing strong results, the Arsenal board said there was no need for a wealthy individual backer, and insisted that it was not about to sell up.

Arsenal director Daniel Fiszman is still the largest stakeholder in Arsenal, with 24.11% of the Gunners' shares.

ANGLIA Arsenal Londra, liderul la zi din Premier League, se afla în neplacuta situatie de a nu putea trece pe foaia de joc pentru partida cu Manchester, de sâmbata, decât 14 jucatori. Pentru partida cu “diavolii” Arsene Wenger nu poate conta pe accidentatii Tomas Rosicky, Robin van Persie, Theo Walcott, Johan Djourou, Alexandre Song, Manuel Almunia, Abou Diaby si Denilson, dar nici pe Sagna, indisponibil din cauza unor probleme familiale.

Mai mult, din cei 14 jucatori disponibili, Emmanuel Adebayor, Gael Clichy şi Mathieu Flamini revin dupa accidentari, iar “tunarii” vor juca marti în Liga Campionilor, cu AC Milan. Astfel, Arsene Wenger este într-o situatie foarte dificila el declarând: “Nu avem decât 14 jucători. Toată lumea va face deplasarea şi voi decide sâmbătă dimineaţă cine vor fi cei pe care îi voi lăsa să se odihnească”.

Sper să facă o alegere bună Wenger. CL-u este mai important.

În ultimu' timp Sagna rupe.

Bine k se întoarce Toure, nu prea am încredere în Senderos.

Şi trebu de evitat introducerea simultană a lui Flamini şi Gilberto. Joacă de-a sulika împreună, au o manieră de joc similară, doar k Gilberto e oleak mai masiv şi mai lent.

Nimi' nu ştie cînd revine RVP ?

Şi pt Lehmann e un meci decisiv, dak se praipeşte cum o face cam des în ultimu' timp, hz dak o să mai prindă primul 11.
