Total NonStop Action Wrestling (TNA) is a privately controlled integrated-media and sports entertainment company that deals primarily in professional wrestling. It uses television, the Internet, and live events, with additional major revenue sources from product licensing and direct product sales. Dixie Carter is the president of the company and co-founder Jeff Jarrett is the Vice President. In 2002, Panda Energy International purchased the majority of its shares.
The company has its headquarters in Orlando, Florida; its trading company TNA Entertainment, LLC operates out of Nashville, Tennessee. The company previously bore the name "NWA Total Nonstop Action" — at the time of it's formation it belonged to the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). TNA was granted exclusive rights to both the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and the NWA World Tag Team Championship. TNA withdrew from the NWA in 2004, but was permitted to continue to use the championships until the NWA abrogated the agreement in May 2007.
TNA became the first American promotion to make exclusive use of a hexagonal wrestling-ring (as opposed to the more conventional four-sided ring).The organization also employed the unconventional rule that a championship can change hands as the result of a disqualification or countout, but has slowly phased out this rule. TNA's business focus is on professional wrestling. It is currently the second largest professional wrestling promotion in the world, behind World Wrestling Entertainment.

Говорят ©, что Шейну Хелмсу уже не раз делали предложение заключить контракт с TNA.

Главной причиной, что этого так и не случилось, является некто Джэми Шантир (более известная как Вельвет Скай). У них с Хелмсом в свое время были отношения, которые прервались не самым красивым образом. Так вот Джэми угрожала руководству покинуть компанию, если будет подписан Хелмс. Руководство выбрало Вельвет Скай.

Jeff Hardy's court hearing today in Moore County Superior Court in Carthage, North Carolina resulted in another continuance, reports the Southern Pines Pilot. Warren McSweeney, the Assistant District Attorney, requested more time to review the case. "Subject to Your Honor’s approval,” McSweeney said, “we have agreed to set that over to February the 16th in the morning." Hardy's next scheduled hearing is Feb. 16. The TNA star did not attend the hearing today.

Hardy was expected to take a plea bargain today on charges stemming from his 2009 arrest on drug charges. The plea agreement would have been subject to the judge's approval.

UPDATE: Here is a report from the courtroom:

"When the case was called this morning, the ADA (Assistant District Attorney) told the Judge that they would need more time to negotiate a potential plea deal. He told the judge that the sides had a agreed to return to court on February 16th and asked for the Judge's approval, which was granted. As someone who works in the court system, I can tell you that this most probably means that one of the two sides thought that the other was going to agree to something more than actually could be agreed upon. My hunch is that the ADA wouldn't give in as much as Jeff's lawyer wanted, but that is just my guess. At least Jeff can appear on the big 2/3 Impact."

Kevin Nash stated during an interview with La Nación in Puerto Rico that he is presently negotiating with TNA Wrestling regarding a return to the organization.

Sources close to both sides indicate he has negotiated on and off with the company since his contract expired last October. It was recently reported that he agreed to a deal, but stated that someone in the office said he would be returning before a deal could be reached.
