Saha va juca sigur impotriva lui Derby. Insa nu pot zice nimic despre cum va juca. Sper sa fie totul ok si sa ne revenim dupa meciul cu portsmouth. Cred ca ar trebui sa joace si Ronaldo sa-si mai revina un pic, ca in ultimul timp cam putine artificii. Go Ronaldo!

"It was a one-on-one situation and unfortunately Tomasz touched the player (Milan Baros)."

InThe Football Association has asked Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson and his assistant Carlos Queiroz to explain comments they made after Saturday's 1-0 FA Cup defeat by Portsmouth
In a television interview, Ferguson, who was angry that a penalty had not been awarded to Cristiano Ronaldo, said referee Martin Atkinson had been "on Portsmouth's side".

He also accused referees chief Keith Hackett of "not doing his job properly".

Queiroz described Atkinson as a "robber" in newspaper reports.

The FA said that it had written to both for explanations and that they had until next Wednesday to respond.

Queiroz has already apologised to Birmingham City's Martin Taylor after remarks he made in reference to Taylor's leg-breaking tackle on Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva.

Sir Alex Ferguson has paid tribute to former United striker Teddy Sheringham following his decision to call time on his 26-year career at the end of the season.

The 41-year-old, who is currently plying his trade with Championship side Colchester United, enjoyed a trophy-laden four years with the Reds, scooping three Premier League titles, plus FA Cup, Champions League, Intercontinental Cup and Charity Shield winners’ medals.

He famously came off the bench to, firstly, set the Reds on their way to victory in the FA Cup final in ‘99, before firing an injury-time equaliser in the Champions League final and setting up Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the winner.

Sir Alex has nothing but praise for Sheringham, who he believes may turn his hand to management.

“He’s had a fantastic career and was a wonderful player for us,” the United boss told Manchester United Radio. “He’s an excellent footballer with a superb footballing brain, and you can’t underestimate how important those goals in ’99 were.

"He’s single-minded and a strong character and I think those are qualities he can take into management. We all wish him well.”

High hopes for Manucho
United’s January signing Manucho may be relatively unknown to most Reds fans, but the he could be making an impact in the Premier League next season.

Manucho, who scored on his debut for loan club Panathinaikos in their 2-0 win over Larisa at the weekend, was plucked from obscurity in Angola when a new scouting contact discovered his raw talent.

The task now to harness his potential, the first steps of which have been taken in sending him on loan to Greece, which should also aid his application for a work permit.

United’s assistant manager Carlos Queiroz, whose Portuguese contact unearthed Manucho, has high hopes of the qualities he will bring in the very near future.

“First of all he is a player that can score goals,” Queiroz told MUTV. “He’s not the sort of player you come across easily and to have the possibility to bring quality forwards to our club doesn’t happen very often.

“We are absolutely convinced he has enough qualities and potential to have a chance in the game, despite the fact that he is now 25.”

Manucho may be a late starter, but his excellent performances in the African Cup of Nations indicate a promising future.

Reserves call on Neville

Gary Neville and Tomasz Kuszczak have both been included in United's Reserves squad for the trip to Sunderland tonight.

Kuszczak's inclusion in the 16-man group raises the prospects of Ben Foster being involved in some capacity against Derby County this weekend.

The Polish shot-stopper was sent off in the FA Cup defeat to Portsmouth, earning an immediate one-match ban. He had replaced Edwin van der Sar at half time, the Dutchman going off with a groin injury that casts doubt over his availability for the trip to Pride Park on Saturday.

Foster completed the full 90 minutes of United's 2-1 Reserves win over Middlesbrough last week and had been expected to go out on loan for the rest of the season. That is highly unlikely now, and he could even be thrust into first-team action if van der Sar does not recover in time to face the Rams.

For Reds skipper Neville, it's another step on a long road to his return for the first-team. He has been working hard on a specific fitness programme in training and is edging slowly, but surely, toward his first senior game in a year.

United squad from: Kuszczak, Zieler; Neville, Simpson, Chester, Pique, Lea; Cleverley, Eagles, Possebon, S.Evans, Gray, Barnes Hewson; Welbeck, Fagan.

Судя по всему у Хиттона тоже что то не в порядке со здоровьем.
Или запасной вратарь тоже не заигрывается в матче за резерв если ему играть в уикенд ? Наврядли, так как Кусчак довольно часто играл за резерв перед тем как призываться за основную комманду.
Да и что то припоминаю я о травме Хиттона.
В общем не важно. Foster's our future!

#8916 Deathfan, "... Foster's our future! ..." - inca nu se stie sigur. Kuszczak este un concurent foarte puternic. O sa fie interesant sa-i vedem pe ei luptindu-se pentru primul loc. Daca ar fi sa aleg, chiar nu as putea.

#8919 Antipod, cred ca sezonul viitor el va aparea mai rar, pentru a da voie si celorlalti. Oricum, sezonul acest singurul pretendent era Kuszczak. Sezonul viitor, daca Foster va fi OK, atunci va fi concurenta mai acerba.
