Полузащитник аргентинского клуба «Велес Сарсфилд» Рикардо Альварес подписал предварительное соглашение с лондонским «Арсеналом», сообщает FoxSports.
По информации источника, 23-летний футболист переберется в Лондон в июне, когда его контракт с «Велесом» подойдет к концу.
Альварес выступает за «Велес Сарсфилд» с 2008 года. У игрока есть итальянское гражданство. Альварес считается достаточно универсальным футболистом, способным сыграть как в полузащите, так и вторым нападающим.

Wenger tells Nasri and Clichy – Sign quickly or you’re gone

Arsene Wenger made a massive mistake a few years ago when he allowed Mathieu Flamini to run down his contract by delaying any talks of an extension until it was too late, thus allowing the midfielder to gain a massive payday by joining AC Milan on a Bosman transfer.

Arsenal currently have two players approaching the final year of their current deal, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy, and Wenger has told the players that if they don’t renew their contracts very quickly after the end of the season then they will be sold.

Wenger told the official Arsenal website: “We will sort that situation out quickly after the end of the season,”

“We need to know very quickly.

“We do not want to do that [allow them to leave on a free like Flamini]. We won’t allow that to happen.

After Denilson’s admission yesterday that he wanted to leave the Emirates it will be interesting to see how many other players admit their unhappiness of their situation at Arsenal. Nicklas Bendtner is nearly certain to leave but how many others will follow?

Wenger: We need to add to the squad and this will be a busy summer and players will leave

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that his number one objective is to keep his squad together although some players will leave after a disappointing season.

Speaking to Arsenal TV Online, the Frenchman confessed there will be movement during the summer where players who didn’t play much will leave the club in order to feature more regularly with other teams. According to reports, Brasilian midfielder Denilson is certain to leave with striker Nicklas Bendtner set to follow.

On signing new players, the Arsenal boss explained that everyone is busy, looking at new players, analysing the current squad and getting in touch with people to understand how the squad can be strengthened.

And asked if this will be one the most important summers since he is in charge at Arsenal, Wenger agreed, saying that there were important transfer windows in the past but this one in particular will be a “big one”, on all fronts.

On Friday, the manager said:

[That my first priority is to keep my squad together] is true [but it] doesn’t mean that there will be no movement.

There will be some movement of players who have played less, who need to play and as well of course we will try to strengthen our squad again but we want to keep the basis and style of play we have.

We are very very busy all over our Club, we are looking, analysing, talking to people. There are two steps in the transfer market during the summer, the first is very early and the second one is very late.

In between there is a little bit of no man’s land because people are on holiday, it’s difficult to get in touch so a lot will happen at the start and a lot will happen at the end but I believe June will be relatively quiet. But early end of May, early June could be quite busy.

[One of the most important summers of my time at Arsenal?] Yes, I think so, we had a few important ones but this will certainly be a big one, on all fronts.

Главный тренер "Тоттенхэма" Харри Рэднапп подтвердил свою заинтересованность в приобретении опорного полузащитника "Вест Хэма" Скотта Паркера и плеймейкера французского "Лилля" Эдена Азара.

Как известно, "молотобойцы" уже не имеют шансов на спасение прописки в элите. Несмотря на неудачный сезон в целом для команды, лично Паркер демонстрировал очень хорошую игру и даже заслужил возвращение в сборную Англии. Однако один в поле не воин.

Ожидается, что 30-летний полузащитник покинет "Вест Хэм", поскольку игрок такого калибра вряд ли захочет выступать в Чемпионшипе. В очередь на Паркера выстроился целый ряд клубов Премьер-Лиги, и Рэднапп надеется, что у него тоже будут шансы.

"Нам не хватает одного-двух игроков, которые сильны характерами. Важно иметь одного-двух лидеров. Я бы предпочел пригласить кого-нибудь из страны. Скотт - тихий парень, но одновременно на поле он становится образцом лидера. Я не утверждаю, что нам нужен именно Скотт. Нам нужны игроки такого типа", - цитирует Рэднаппа Sky Sports.

Также Рэднапп подтвердил, что он симпатизирует Эдену Азару, оцениваемому в 20 миллионов фунтов. На звезду "Лилля", согласно слухам, претендует также и "Ливерпуль". Тренер "шпор" признался, что недавно лично просматривал игрока.

"Да, он (Азар) мне нравится. На неделе я побывал на матче с его участием. Он хороший игрок, но заполучить его будет непросто", - добавил Рэднапп.
