#66494 djforce, "... nustiu ce s-a intimplat acolo da o fost 2 atacanti la mijloc si unu in poarta iar portaru mijlocash si tot asa ..." - Nu ai dat noile ordine,si calculatorul i-a aranjat aleator.Eu ieri am pierdut,dupa ce am condus,iar la pauza am avut 2-2.In fine,am jucat cu o echipa mai tare si inca in deplasare,nu stiu cum de s-a primit asa.Probabil a contat faptul ca aveam 14 victorii consecutive.

Goal.com UK Q&A: Benfica's David Luiz Could Become One Of The 'Best Defenders Of All Time'
Manchester United would be best place for centre-back


Benfica's highly-rated centre-back David Luiz could turn in to "one of the best defenders in the business" if he moved to Manchester United, according to Goal.com Portugal's Luis Mira.

The £25 million rated Brazilian stopper is on the summer shopping lists of United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona after an impressive season.

Speaking to Goal.com UK, Mira believed the former Brazil Under-20 international reminded him of Rio Ferdinand and would reach his potential under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Goal.com UK: How impressive has David Luiz been during his time with Benfica and how much money would interested teams need to offer for his services?

Luis Mira: David Luiz took some time to settle to football in Europe and it was not until his third season in Portugal that he started playing on a regular basis.

Since 2008/09, however, he has been absolutely vital in Benfica's backline, with his best displays coming under the new boss Jorge Jesus. I would say he could be sold for a fee in the region of €25-30 million.

Goal.com UK: Benfica are top of the Portuguese league, how important has Luiz been to this?

Mira: Luiz has been playing a very important role in Benfica's success story this season and he seems to connect really well with Luisao at the heart of the defence. This would help explain why they have the best defence in the league.

Goal.com UK: Could you describe Luiz's playing style and which positions he plays in?

Mira: Luiz has mostly played as centre-back, his favourite position, but he has also been deployed on the left side of the defence, where he has shown some qualities. He was also used as a defensive midfielder once or twice.


At the age of 23, one of the most interesting things about him is his composure. He has shown good concentration and decision making, though sometimes he goes off the mark in some challenges he makes.

The worst about him is undoubtedly the fact that, at least at Benfica, he runs with the ball way too many times, since he has some technique and is good at passing. Sometimes, he just loses the ball when trying to move past an opponent and leaves his team in a tough situation.

Goal.com UK: Which Premier League defender does he remind you of the most?

Mira: He reminds me of Rio Ferdinand and Daniel Agger. He is a very fast defender, he outruns attackers most of the times and is also very calm at the back - though sometimes he goes off the mark in some challenges he makes.

He is never scared to run with the ball and sometimes he does it so often one might think he plays in the midfield. He has good technique and he also shoots from distance when given the chance.

Goal.com UK: What is David Luiz's personality like? Would he deal with the pressure of playing for a top Premier League team?

Mira: He is a very calm guy, does not draw too much media attention on him, and is also very religious. He played well against big names in the Europa League this season, so I guess he is ready for a bigger challenge.

Goal.com UK: Chelsea and Manchester United in particular have some great centre-backs. If he moved to either side, is he good enough to push for a starting place immediately or would he be a substitute?

Mira: As I mentioned before, Luiz still has two big problems: the fact he runs with the ball too often and makes some dangerous challenges inside the area. Joining Manchester United would be better for him as I am sure Alex Ferguson would nurture him into one of the best defenders in the business.

I would not say he would immediately push for a starting place, especially considering that at Benfica he always plays alongside Portuguese-speaking centre-backs. It could take him some time to get used to a new centre-back partner.

bravo Internazionale. desi a fost devantajat de arbitri s-a aparat foarte bine si a trecut in finala.
Ma bucur destul de mult ca sunt fan a unei echipe din EPL in care se joaca dur si barbateste. Nu ash suporta astfel de simulianti in echipa. :)

1) s-a vazut ca poate in fotbalul englez - Silva nu
