Inter president Massimo Moratti has revealed talks have been taking place with Udinese over a potential move for Alexis Sanchez as he confirms a concrete interest in the playmaker.

The 22-year-old Sanchez has been linked with the Nerazzurri and Manchester City in recent weeks. But it seems Inter are doing all the talking, despite City having watched him in action earlier this month as revealed by Goal.com.

"I speak of Sanchez and I honestly consider him to be a good player. It's no mystery that we are speaking with Udinese so we can understand the situation," Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.

"Of course, the player still has to prove himself. I think when Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined Inter, they had done something more in their career."

And with talks ongoing, the president suggested other players were also under observation.

"There are those speaking of negotiations with Udinese. Of course, we are looking at Sanchez, but also other players," he added.

"I think we are strong up front, and I do not see this position as a priority to reinforce. But any market operation which improves the squad is welcome, though not at exaggerated prices."

Sanchez scored 12 in 31 games for Udinese this season and helped contribute to countless assists.

Last month Goal.com revealed how the Bianconeri will not be willing to lower their demands for Sanchez.

Atletico Madrid CEO Gil Marin says the club has received a letter from Juventus regarding Sergio Aguero's availability, but there is no offer on the table.

Earlier, Juve director general Giuseppe Marotta said his club were looking for a player with similar qualities to Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Karim Benzema.

And it seems the first contact between the Spanish and Italian clubs has been initiated.

"We received a letter last Monday [from Juventus] and they want to negotiate the transfer of the player. They did not name a figure and we have not provided a response," Marin told Radio Marca.

"In any case, we will not give any discount in relation to the €45 million clause."

Real Madrid have also been linked with the 22-year-old, but Atleti seem reluctant to sit down with their city rivals.

"We do not intend to speak with Real Madrid, and Florentino Perez has given us his word he will not try to get the player," he added.

"Aguero can join any club who pays the full clause fee, but not Real Madrid. If he wants to leave he can."

If any club offers to meet the €45m buy-out clause then Atleti will be contractually bound to negotiate a deal.

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has once again confirmed the search is on for a left-sided midfielder, adding that Gareth Bale, Marek Hamsik and Rafael van der Vaart are all on their radar.

Having won the Serie A title for the first time since 2004, the former European champions are set to enter a new era and are expected to strengthen their team for next season’s campaign.

Galliani revealed earlier this month that Milan are seeking a left-sided midfielder in the summer and has reiterated their stance, adding that Santos starlet Ganso and Palermo playmaker Javier Pastore do not meet this criteria.

“It seems that Ganso is not a left-sided midfielder and the same goes for Pastore,” he told reporters in Italy on Thursday. “We already have two attacking midfielders in Kevin Prince Boateng and Clarence Seedorf.

“There is no Mr X or Mr Y, there is a need for a left-sided midfielder. [Kwadwo] Asamoah of Udinese is one, Napoli’s Hamsik is one, so is Gareth Bale and Rafael van der Vaart.”

Galliani also denied reports of a Milan bid for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas and explained: “Fabregas is too expensive. It’ll be difficult to sign a player from one of the big European teams.”
