#200 ElMoldovano, aha corect, iaka acum la Zerg e puțin altfel, în general e tot aceeași, dar au mai fost adăugate, scoase unele mici chestii, + am mai observat mici buguri, ei desigur, e BETA doar .. :D

Totuşi nu la toţi le-a plăcut Beta :) ei zic că SC2 e o combinaţie din WC3 şi SC, adică deja nu e acel SC..

e fix acelasi sc, cu spetial effects...
nu, serios, ma jucam ieri si aveam impresia ca e sc1 cu vre-un oarecare mod, upgrade la grafica si un pic alte unit-uri..
apropo, mi-a placut roach-ul... foarte (foarte) greu de ucis...
mai ales daca sta ingropat... inca mi-a placut creep tumor si cum arata changeling-ul :D

AI Testing
Hello,
                i have been doing some research into Ai in starcraft 2, im sure now everyone has played lazytowns sandbox mod, which is great, big thanks to them,
your probally borred of playing against yourself,
here i will explain how to edit a map file to add ai.

Currently the ai only attack you if you attack them, and do not come looking for you or build ect, so they are kind of brain dead. maybe you would say not even ai? however its a step further than playing with yourself.

first you will need a mpq editor.

use your mpq editor to open the map you wish to add ai to,
find and extrac the file called objects.file

open this file in notepad.

this file is a file generated by the sc2 map editor, it contains the location of all the maps objects such as minerals gas rocks watch towers ect. but also could contain units heros buildings effects ect. to add a unit to the objects list you must use the correct name for the unit .

here is a example. this line places a highyeild mineral filed at the specifyed location.

<Unit id="66" variation="7" position="49,86.5,0" scale="1,1,1" unitType="HighYieldMineralField">

if you modify it to this

  <Unit id="66" position="49,86.5,0"  scale="1,1,1" unitType="Zealot" player="2"/>
adding the player="2" stops the unit from being neutral.

other options you can experiment with are

rotation
let me know if you find any others, you can use this to add buildings critters anything to your map. tricky part is working out the positions.
Does anyone know a debug way of showing position of the cursor?

once you have edited you objects file, readde it to the s2ma file .replaceing the original,
then run your m ap with lazytown !

hopefully using this method we can create some maps that are more intresting than playing on our own.

Also ive figured out alot more for custom mods. such as for each map u can have custom units , custom upgrades ,and its very easy to change the atmosphere of a map, all can edited per map with out effecting other maps wich is really cool and loads of possibiltys for mods.

Also i have been looking into gettin ai to work correctly.
firstly im not sure exactly what the lazytown crack does, does it just boot you into a melee  game?  does it say victory when u start because there is no ai player, there for you have won?
anyways i have asumed that the reason for the ai not apearing is because the maps are not setup for or are not triggering  ai to spawn when the map is loaded,
You can edit the .galaxy script files but as of yet i havent managed to get ai that think, they just stand there,
if anyone that knows more about the galaxy scripting would like to help, than please do,
maybe we need to just setup the maps correctly.
this is just speculation though.

anyways its really really late here 7 in the morning. so i probally have done a bad job at typeing all this, i just thought people might like to play against some computer before i go to sleep.
im more than happy for a mod to edit my post , as i really am half asleep whilst i type this.
here is a pic showing it working. in the picture i have replaced the watch towers with Zelots, as you can see they attack when i get close.

TERRAN

Viking
The armor value for this unit in Fighter Mode has decreased from 1 to 0.
The damage done by this unit in Fighter Mode has changed from 6 (+8 armored) to 10 (+4 armored).

Reaper
The damage done from D-8 Charges has decreased from 40 to 30.
The delay between attacks for D-8 Charges has decreased from 2.5 to 1.8.

Orbital Command
The build time for this upgrade has decreased from 50 to 35.

PROTOSS

Observer
Gravitic Boosters: The cost of this research has decreased from 150 minerals and 150 vespene gas to 100 minerals and 100 vespene gas.

High Templar
Phase Shift: This ability has been removed from the game.
New ability: Feedback - Drains all energy from the target unit and causes damage equal to the amount of energy drained.

Colossus
The building pathing radius for this unit has decreased from .75 to .5625.

Mothership
Vortex: The energy cost of this ability has increased from 75 to 100.
Vortex: The target radius of this ability has decreased from 3.0 to 2.5.
Temporal Rift: This ability has been removed from the game.
Wormhole Transit: This ability has been removed from the game.
New ability: Mass Recall - Teleports all of the player's units in the target area to the Mothership.

Nexus
Chrono Boost can no longer target allies.

Gateway
The build time of this building has increased from 50 to 65.

ZERG

Infestor
Fungal Growth: The damage done by this ability has decreased from 48 to 36.
Fungal Growth: This ability now prevents affected units from burrowing.
Neural Parasite: Functionality changed - The Infestor now channels this spell, which lasts 10 seconds or until the Infestor is destroyed. You can now target all units with this ability.
Terran Infestation: The ability's energy cost has reduced from 50 to 25 and Infested Terrans now spawn 1 at a time.

BUG FIXES

Addressed an issue causing people to receive an "Internal Battle.net Error" message with their game client.

Muting your microphone will no longer cause your microphone to be turned off in the operating system once the program has exited.

Please note that the voice chat functionality has only partially been implemented. There are many known issues with voice chat that we expect to address in a future patch.

The "Medium" graphical settings were reconfigured to work better on appropriate machines. The video settings "auto-detect" functionality has been reset as a result.

Added a frame rate limiter to the game menus to prevent some graphics cards from running at higher frame rates than necessary.

We're calling the default ai, super easy and the turd ai (not that that isn't a bad name itself) very easy.
